About Me

Hello, my name is Rebecca and my husband is Kerr. I am a working professional, looking for some assistance with childcare for our 3 year old son, Dimitri while his nursery is temporarily closed for the summer holidays.

Care would be mostly in the week of 5th July - 14th of July Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays just before 9am until 3pm. Ideally in our home. After the 14th of July, I still have deadlines for work but not any fixed hours, so days and hours can be negotiated. We would also most likely require care on Sunday 3rd of July. We are based in Westerhailes.

What we are looking for in a nanny: someone young and energetic to be a friend/play friend for our son. We are happy to hear from less experienced care providers if we feel you are a good fit. Ideally, we want to find someone to become our regular nanny but on an ad-hoc basis once the busy July period is over. Dimitri will return to nursery mid-August but we would still at times require care. Therefore, this post would be suitable for someone looking to do just part-time work.

Duties include taking care of Dimitri (dressing, washing/bathing), preparing some light lunch if required, some light housework, playing with Dimitri, engaging him in activities and taking him outside and to engage in outdoor activities.

We would also require that you have or are in the process of obtaining a valid DBS/PVG. Your travel expenses and lunch will be covered by us.

Dimitri (Dimi) enjoys drawing, painting, water play, digging, playing in sand, building towers and knocking them down, all vehicles, watching cartoons, playing hide and seek, being chased, bubbles, roleplay. He has an excellent temperament and is typically developing in all aspects. People often describe Dimitri as being delightful, sweet and caring.

As a family we are introverted and are big science fiction and fantasy fans. We enjoy many films and Tv series, reading and attending comic conventions dressed up as our favourite characters.

We also have a small female cat called Domino.
