My Summary
About Me
Hey, I’m Emily!
I absolutely love working with children and supporting them as they learn, grow and develop. I have been surrounded by children from a young age and throughout my career I have predominantly worked in childcare settings, which has only strengthened my passion for the role.
I have strong knowledge and hands-on experience and I really value building trusting, long-lasting relationships with both children and their families. I enjoy becoming a consistent, positive part of a child’s life and supporting families in a way that feels natural and reassuring.
I have completed a wide range of training and hold relevant qualifications, all of which support my strong commitment to providing safe, nurturing, and high-quality care. I am kind, patient, and caring, and I believe the strong bonds I have formed with children throughout my career reflect this.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking my dog, baking and making memories with family and friends.
My Experience
I have been trusted to care for children for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed building positive, nurturing relationships with the families I work with. My experience includes working in local nurseries, within Children’s Social Services and as a private nanny.
I have extensive experience caring for children from as young as 4 months through to 17 years old, adapting my approach to meet the individual needs of each age group.
I have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and hold a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) qualification.
Safeguarding is my main priority. I have completed extensive safeguarding training and have previously held the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead in two nursery settings. I also have direct experience working within Children’s Social Services.
I have previously held a Paediatric First Aid certificate, however this will need updating if I were to take on a new role working directly with children. I have strong knowledge of child development, particularly in relation to babies and early years. I am confident in areas such as weaning and safe sleep practices and am very familiar with the EYFS framework.
