Hey, I’m Emily!
I absolutely love children and I enjoy helping them to learn and grow. I have been brought up around lots of children and ever since I have started working I have predominately worked in childcare settings.
I have good knowledge and experience. I love that I am able to build strong relationships with children and their families and I enjoy becoming part of their lives.
I have completed lots of training and have relevant qualifications. I have a strong passion to care for children and keep them safe. I have lots of love and kindness to give and I like to think that the strong bonds I have built with lots of children throughout my career proves this to be true!
In my spare time I enjoy spending time outside, baking and spending time with family and friends!
I also have a degree in Criminology.
My Experience
I have enjoyed and been trusted to care for children for many years. I have worked in local nurseries, for children’s social services, and I have also been a nanny.
I have lots of experience working with children between the ages of 4 months old and 17 years old.
I have experience working with SEN children and I myself hold a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) certificate.
I have completed a large amount of training on safeguarding too and have been the Designated Safeguarding Lead in two of my nursery settings.
I have very recently completed my Paediatric First Aid training and hold a valid certificate for this.
I have lots of knowledge when it comes to children and particularly babies. I know lots about weaning and safe sleeping, I am very familiar with the EYFS so I know what a child should be achieving at certain points in their development and I am fully aware of how to support them in doing so through different activities, during which they can learn through play.
My Qualifications
level 2 qualification in childcare, B grade.
level 3 qualification in childcare, distinction grade.
level 3 qualification in health and social care, distinction* grade.
My Availability
I currently work Monday - Thursday until 530.
If you’re in need of any help around those hours please let me know! I am also available for occasional babysitting in the evenings / weekends.
