About Me
Hi there, my name is Emma and I'm 29 and located in north Lanarkshire. I have just qualified as a primary teacher. I have lots of experience working with children ranging from 2-16. My experience extends to additional support needs and social and emotional support.
I am very enthusiastic about child development and like explore creative ways of supporting children in their learning and play. During my time working with children, I have developed patience, empathy and communication skills which give a good foundation to build trust, rapport and create an empowering and supportive environment for growth.

My Experience
My university education, voluntary and paid experience displays my commitment and passion for working with and supporting children and adolescents.
I have worked in education where I have been responsible for supporting children in their learning, emotional experiences and social development. My main responsibilities included developing and running nurture groups for younger children working on social interaction and development through play, art and more. I also have experience in working with children with additional support needs through 1-2-1 engagement. Although I currently work with Children age 4-8, I have experience working with older children.
My previous roles include a Childline Counsellor, Baby sitting, Adult leader at local youth club, volunteer teaching assistant, School based support worker. Within these roles, I have gone through extensive training and developed skills which will aid in looking after children and young people.

My Qualifications
I have a MA Psychology (honours) from the university of Glasgow. During this time, I focused a lot of Child development, Inclusive education for ASN, Atypical development, Autism spectrum disorder and more.
I also have PGDE in primary education.
During my voluntary roles and employment I also have training in the following areas:
- Child Protection
-Safeguarding
- Bullying
- Inclusive education
- Exploring through play (children aged 3-8).
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Poverty and Adverse Childhood Experiences
(more training not directly related to children)

I am available through June and July and the start of August.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
I understand that every family is different with different needs and incomes. I usually work out an appropriate fee with the family I support.

Emma looked after my son for a few hours in the evening. She played with him outdoors and then got him ready for bed and put him to sleep. She was kind and caring to him and he loved spending time with her.
