About Me
My husband and I have two children - a 6 year old boy who loves cycling and anything to do with wheels or construction, and a 3 year old girl who loves Frozen, the colour pink, crafts and chasing her big brother around. We all love the outdoors and exploring new places. We also have a cat named Ruby.
My Requirements
We are looking for some flexible short term support (to help cover the summer holidays), with the potential to become a regular holiday help if of interest.
I work part-time (Mon-Fri 9-3:30) and my husband is a pilot so his shifts vary from day to day, week to week. We need cover on some of the days we're both working as we haven't been able to find a holiday club that offers all day cover for children aged 3.
I grew up with overly cautious parents who held me and my siblings back in a lot of ways and made us nervous to try new things. I've tried to flip that on the head with my children and am a big believer in enabling children to learn at a pace that suits them - even if it terrifies me!! As an example; our 6 year old was riding a peddle bike without stabilisers at 2.5 years old. We try to use responsive parenting techniques with both children. They are both very chatty and independent, and they love learning and exploring.
We're looking for someone that enjoys working with younger children and is comfortable with responsive parenting techniques
