Hello,
I am a natural-born carer, from my big family to my work experience, I enjoy making people feel safe and cared for. I have worked with children from the ages of 9 months - 18 years for just over nine years now. I enjoy arts and crafts, cooking and baking, and I have a knack for inventing new and engaging activities to do, as shown in my role as Social Secretary at University, my extensive experience as a Swimming Teacher, and my previous job as a Nanny for two young children.
I am interested in fitness and healthy eating as a lifestyle, and I believe it can be incorporated into any family no matter how busy life can get. I love being active, as seen by my participation in rock climbing, swimming, and Latin dance, I also love walking - especially if there is a dog involved! I love all animals, and I am very pet friendly.
With regard to the academic side of things, I have a great neurological understanding of the brain's wiring and how it develops as we grow up. My dissertation at University was on mental health in primary school-aged children, and a lot of my modules were centered around child and adolescent development, so I am truly aware of their welfare needs, and how important emotional intelligence is in developing resilience and empathy.
I am an understanding, hard working, fun and energetic person who is not averse to manual labour as I have been tidying up after my three brothers all my life!
I have started driving lessons and hope to look into booking a test soon.
I still have my job as a Swimming Teacher so I would appreciate the flexibility to allow me to continue that.
I have a valid and up-to-date DBS check.
I have an up-to-date Lifesaver qualification.
I have a BA degree in Youth Justice with a specialisation in Emotional Resilience, awarded from Nottingham Trent University.
I have nine years of experience as a swimming Teacher.
I have volunteered at an Emotional Resilience Charity, called Transform, for over a year.
I have just over two years of nannying experience with two young children.
I am confident on a bicycle, with a baby seat and wagon attachment - I can provide my own bicycle if needed.

My Availability
April 10th 2023 - September 3rd 2023. Live in/live out position. Up to 24/5, plus occasional babysitting and extra hours agreed in advanced. Flexibility to allow me to continue as a Swimming Instructor a couple of evenings in the week (willing to take your children to the pool and encourage their swimming skills). Happy to travel with families.
