My name is Hannah, I am an OFSTED registered Childminder in Virginia Water, Surrey.
I am a Mum to four children, together we enjoy trips to the play park, nature treasure hunts in the nearby woods, walks around Virginia Water lakes, jumping in puddles and lots of messy play.
In my spare time I enjoy crocheting, crafting and baking, which comes in useful when creating lots of fun things to share with the Little Acorns at Acorns to Oaks Childcare, friends and family.

Acorns to Oaks Childcare is a home from home setting with use of indoor playroom, dinning area, a downstairs bathroom and lounge which provides access to the large secluded garden with our purpose built garden playroom. We take part in regular cooking activities, sensory and messy play, moving and grooving, crafts, visits to local baby groups and soft play centres, all with bucket loads of fresh air.
Through training with Hygee in the Early Years, we have developed a love of nature and this helps form a basis for some of the learning and topics at Acorns to Oaks Childcare. Using natural resources and ‘real life’ toys as much as possible, we are working to encourage children’s innate curiosity and respect for the world around them. We of course still have some plastic favourites such as Duplo and Happy-land, and these can be accessed alongside our natural resources, loose parts and real-life materials depending on children’s preference.
The garden and local forest area are used in all weather conditions, and provide the Little Acorns with the chance to be outdoors in the fresh air everyday. In the garden the mud kitchen, painting station, music wall and water play activities give plenty of opportunity to experience all nature has to offer, including the unpredictable British weather, so get your wellies and a puddle suits ready!
My Experience
I have many years experience working with families and children including experience in a maternity unit, five years experience working within a primary school setting with children from reception to year six, over ten years experience teaching dance classes to children from aged two and a half and as a Hartbeeps class teacher providing multi sensory classes to families and little ones from 6 weeks to five years.
Having always had a passion for early years education, supporting families and caring for others, I am pleased to be able to open my heart and home, to provide childcare for local families with a home from home setting at Acorns to Oaks Childcare.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
Early Years Childminding:
Fees include all meals and snacks, entry to toddler groups and soft play centres.
08:00 - 17:30 - £7.00 per hour
Babysitting:
Available in your own home in the evenings and weekends after 18:30 - £11.00 per hour

My daughter attended her setting for 2 years, aged 1-2.
The setting is a purpose-built cabin in her back garden and her garden is set up also for outdoor play and learning. Perfect for little acorns to enjoy their days.
My daughter absolutely thrived in those 2 years with Hannah and is now happily at nursery with her best friend who attended Hannah’s house with her. Her family were also very welcoming to the little acorns they received into their home daily. It was certainly like a second home to her, which is everything you could want of a childminder.
I couldn’t recommend Hannah enough and if we remain in the area, will happily put my younger daughter in her care when the time comes.

Hannah is amazing! My daughter went to nursery/preschool prior and had a really hard time settling in - it was heartbreaking. Acorns to Oaks really is a home from home. They spend so much time outdoors, and have access to beautifully thought out resources.
Instead of tears and tantrums at drop off, I didnt even get a kiss goodbye; she ran off to play with her friends without looking back.
Hannah makes them feel safe to be themselves, and my daughter has made friends she’ll never forget!
Seriously can not recommend Hannah highly enough - just gutted we didn’t find her sooner!
