Hi I’m Nikki! A Early Years Educator at Learn and Play home nursery, I take care of children from 3 months to 10yrs, We are a small safe family, I offer a very nurturing and caring environment brimming with creativity and learning!
At our nursery we embrace the Montessori and Reggio method of education, Forest school learning and adventurous outdoor activities as well as the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
We also offer overnight care please book this in advance.
My nursery is regularly inspected and ongoing training and support daily with our childminding agency to keep up to date with EYFS requirements.
Parents have access to our app which will make life super simple for families, We streamline payments, daily communication, track educational progress and much more to make every day happy.
My Experience
I am very familiar with the new EYFS requirements.
I have more than 16 years experience of caring for children of different ages and abilities, 0-10yrs year’s children including new born and children and with special needs.
At our nursery we:
Encourage learning and development, through play and teaching.
Creating a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn.
Working with parents to support their children.
Enabling children to build their literacy, language and numeracy skills.
Monitoring progress and planning educational games.
Putting together activities which will keep the children engaged throughout the day.
Helping children get ready for the transition into a classroom environment.
Helping children to become more independent when carrying out daily tasks.
Creating the right balance between activities and down time. We have a fascination with young hearts and minds and a desire to make a huge difference in children’s lives.
We are introducing Forest school, There will be fun activities outdoors doing lots on fun interesting things like exploring parks, collecting cones, acorns, conkers, leaves listening to birds, climbing trees, and play camping, planting, learning about insects and creatures, treasure hunts, jumping in muddy puddles, take walk in the rain, sun or build a snow man in winter, exploring all weathers.

Paediatric first aid certificate;
Food hygiene
Coping with challenging behaviour training
High Quality training programme with childminding agency. EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum, along with essential safeguarding and in-person first aid training.
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
and Early Trauma
Regular ongoing training and inspections with tiney.

We are open early as 7:00 till 18:00 Monday to Friday.
Weekends need to Book 1 week in advance.

I'm very pleased by the way my daughter go to childminder, even if from beginning was a bit with crying but after a time it's seems that she loves to go to childminder, I think they are kind best friends now , so what I can say about Nikki that's it's a lovely person, understanding the needs of my, us a mother and help myself to understand sometimes my daughter, like you know wen kids are very young they are attached emotionally by they're mother and we go through this , so I'm glad that I have advice from Nikki , she is kind , teaching my daughter new skill new games and playing by teaching something so in one word Nikki it's amazing 👏 ! Thank you for all of your support and help 🙏

Nikki is a consummate pro and a gem to our two boys. She exhumes and handles the children with a high level of care and understanding ( I think it comes naturally as she is a mother herself). She strives to learn and share anything that could affect the children.
She has massively helped with our EHCP applications and kept excellent records for our wards which is a core component of the process. She's made our lives much better.
We will choose Nikki anytime in a heartbeat.

Ana is my First child and I was worries and anxious to leave her with a “stranger” but it was incredible how quickly my daughter settled in with Nikki. From the moment We went to view her setting my baby started exploring and felt at home.
Nikki made me feel so secure in leaving Ana there, she is well taking care. She was a great find.
I will be forever grateful to Nikki and I can’t thank her enough.
Ana learn plenty of news skills, made new friends, has fun, but what she likes more are the day outdoors.
