About Me
I am a polite, warm, naturing and reliable nanny ,experience working with children and babies of all ages means that I'm also very skilled at building a strong rapport with children to help them settle well.
I am a mother with children I have experience with new born babies and willing to look after them at your house
i am 47 years old and love children. I am highly organised, flexible and have good communications skills and judgement. I am comfortable and confident working with newborns and toddlers and older children providing excellent support to a family. caring, calm and in control - as well as being fun of course!
I can work as a sole charge nanny or in a nanny share role and I am also happy to work alongside parent weaning, toilet training or establishing routines. I am passionate about working with young children and providing them with the stimulation, fun and loving care they need to thrive.
I believe that children need the reassurance of a structured routine for meals and naps but they also need to have a variety of opportunities and experiences and they need an environment where they are supported to follow their own interests and learn through play. I place a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and the value of visiting parks, farms, children's centres and museums and socialising with other children.
I have experience working with children with special educational needs and I will always aim to work with parents to cater to the individual needs of each child.
I have a current DBS, trained in First Aid, safe guarding, child neglect along with over 20 year's childcare experience,
I have supported families with children with additional needs, in different environments promoting a fun, caring, and safe environment to support children with their learning and trying to meet their diverse needs.
and i have worked with adults with learning difficulties. I have been a nanny for 3 children under 5 and have looked after a child who is 1 years old over night and during the day.
In addition, I have worked with children and young adults on a one to one, with a variety of learning disabilities such as autism, ADHD challenging behavior after i have looked after your child i will do a daily report
so you can see what your child has done and eaten though out the time with me. I believe children should have consistency routines and boundaries for their development.

I had a last minute booking with Sam. The kids really liked her and she got on well with them. She has a very calming presence.

Today was my first time leaving my son with a babysitter, I was very nervous but Sam made me feel so at ease!
Sam gave me a very thorough report on his day and how he had been.
When it was time for Sam to go home, my son got so upset and wanted her to stay which shows me how much fun he had.
Thank you for being so caring, making me feel at ease and answering all of my questions and even coming out of your way to Great barr!

Thank you darling he was a little darling. I loved him and liked to sit close to me, which I liked
Sam has been very professional and helpful. I was quite skeptical at first due to having bad experiences in the past, however Sam made me feel at ease. Sam has been my regular babysitter for the past 6 months and i will continue to book her.
