My Summary
About Me
Now looking to secure a challenging and rewarding new role, where skills, knowledge and expertise gained throughout my previous years in nannying can be transferred across and be utilised to best effect into a new family. I have all my qualifications standard for childcare, these are level 2 and 3 childcare including first aid and safeguarding. Not only this but I now hold over 8 years experience in my profession working for high profile families including travelling abroad. Four of these in a childcare setting and nearly four in nannying. I am very passionate about my job and now believe it’s time to push myself further in my career and I am always pushing to better myself.
I provided devoted, nurturing care for an infant within a high-profile family, supporting healthy routines, early development, and a calm, loving environment. My responsibilities included preparing bottles and meals, managing feeding and nap schedules, facilitating age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities, and ensuring a clean, safe space for the baby at all times. I worked closely with the parents to maintain consistent routines, adapt to changing needs, and support travel or schedule shifts with patience and flexibility. Throughout my role, I upheld the highest level of discretion and professionalism, always respecting the family’s privacy and creating a warm, secure atmosphere for their baby to thrive.
I have also been a live in nanny who has sole charge of 3 children, one of them of which I have had since two weeks old. Furthermore, also in charge of cooking healthy batch cooked meals for them along side some house keeping. One of my key abilities is to work well in a team and not shy away from new challenges. Sports such as running, football, tennis and swimming have always been a great asset to me and I find they push me physically and emotionally too. These skills learnt can be transferred and utilised to there best effects in nannying to show children patience, resilience and team building abilities.
Working as a Baby Room Manager in a nursery which involves a blend of leadership, care, and responsibility. In this role, I was able to oversee the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants aged from birth to 1 years. Your day typically includes managing routines such as feeding, sleeping, and developmental play, while also maintaining close communication with parents to provide updates on their child’s progress and well-being. I was able to lead and support a team of practitioners, ensuring that high standards of care and hygiene are consistently met, and that all staff follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The role also requires planning age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, emotional bonding, and early learning, while observing and recording each child’s development. Being a Baby Room Manager is both rewarding and challenging, as it combines hands-on childcare with leadership, teamwork, and a deep understanding of early childhood development.
Alongside all of these families I have loved doing part time nannying for different families and have built a lovely community of families which I will keep for a lifetime.
Currently I am very flexible and I have just finished working 50 hours a week, meaning I am available to start as soon as possible. I will be looking for something still along them lines and I am not shy to work overtime . In addition, I own a full UK license, my own car, business insurance and public liability insurance also.
One of the great things about these years is that I have gained experience with all age ranges, may this be running a baby room in a nursery or working for lovely families of all age ranges, including children with SEN.
I thrive of working with the public sector and enjoy making memories with some amazing families. Not only this but I am very familiar with the EYFS and have had many key children within a setting. I incorporate this into my nanny work now by continuing with a learning journal and following the EYFS for the children who aren’t yet in state education. This not only benefits the child as I am able to understand more where they are at in their development, it also keeps my mind fresh of the EYFS and ways to incorporate it into a home setting. This is how I believe a child is able to be properly stimulated and grow in a thriving environment as I am able to follow up on interests they have and understanding of where they are in their development. I also find it’s lovely to look back on the mile stones for a nanny and the child’s family.
