The Overview:
Location: Trumpington, Cambridge (CB2).
Dates: Thursdays/Fridays term time.
Hours: 3:30 PM – 07:00 PM.
Role: 1:1 Support for our 9-year-old autistic son.
Household: Adam has an older sister who will also be at home (though your focus is 1:1 with Adam).
We are looking for a kind, energetic, and reliable nanny to support Adam after school.
About the role
- Caring for Adam after he arrives home on the school bus
- Providing 1:1 supervision and keeping him safe at all times
- Preparing snacks / simple meals
- Supporting play, sensory activities, and local outings
- Helping with communication using gestures, single words, and PECS
- Assisting with personal care when needed, including handwashing and changing after messy play or activities
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience with autism / SEN or willing to learn
- Is highly safety-aware and vigilant
- Is active, patient, and fun
- Can support an energetic child with outdoor and sensory play
