About Me

I am looking to book post-natal maternity nursing work in 2026 at a heavily discounted rate to gather hands-on experience, whilst delivering quality care and support.

I have a total of 8 years experience in childcare, 1 of them most recently providing 1:1 care in a home setting. I have gained confidence in the way I approach and adapt myself to children. This includes the experience I have had with children who had some special educational needs. I learnt tolerance, compassion and expanded on my innate empathy. Moreover, the time across 3 nurseries equipped me with different ways of approaching care and being open to adapt to parent’s wishes on how they want their children supported and cared for.

I am dedicated to treating all children as if they were my own. I understand deeply how important it is as parents, to trust another person with your child(ren) and that they are in safe, capable hands. I quickly try and find children’s interests to help form a relationship with them in order for them to feel more comfortable and safe around me.

My Experience

I started off my childcare journey through an apprenticeship, this experience provided me with essential hands on skills. I found my passion and never-ending enthusiasm for providing holistic care for children and integrating parents into their nursery routine. More recently, I’ve become more enthusiastic in nannying and providing a more individualised approach to care and developing children’s skills as they build a solid foundation for their future.

Mereside Farm Nursery 2021-2023
This was my first role acting as a qualified practitioner and being based with ‘babies’ (3months-2years). This age group is where I’m the most confident as I can offer comfort, personal and intimate care along with singing and setting up sensory activities. From my time within this setting I learnt how different all children are even from the early months of their lives. I have thrived from these experiences as I tailor myself to become adaptable to the child and work solely based on their needs and wants

I have recently withdrawn from my midwifery degree as I realised how much I missed working with children and making a difference to their development and offering support to aid the first building blocks of what they will learn in the coming years. From this experience, I have learnt some general theory of pregnancy, birth, postnatal period and the newborn stage.

From April 2024-May 2025 I had been working as an Au pair to two children, I had sole charge 3 days a week. I spent time getting to know and planning engaging activities to facilitate learning and exploration, along with general support in day to day life and life skills.
