Story in a nutshell:
I am Level 2 qualified in children and young people. I previously worked within two private nurseries for 3 years with children between 3 months to 4.5 years old. I have changed my career to nannying so I can focus more on smaller groups of children. I am currently nannying full-time for a family with a 2 year old boy
Why I love working with kids:
I love working within the childcare sector because I can work with parents to support the development of their children in a fun and stimulating environment. Every day is different with children. There is always something new to explore or play with, and each day, you can see their little personalities grow and their interests change. Working within nurseries in the past and speaking with parents about what their child has done that day as well as funny things they have done or said in the day which make their parents and myself laugh and now moving into nannying I can't wait to explore and support the development of another child and watch them grow up alongside the parents.
Super powers:
Outdoors explorer: I am a lover of nature and believe that children can learn so much about their environment and that nature is a great way for children's overall development from physical development of climbing, running, fine motor skills, problem-solving skills of building using natural resources, understanding of the world around them, language development and so much more.
Crafty: I am a very crafty person and enjoy drawing, painting, and making things. I would do a lot of messy play with children from baking, cooking, making our own playdough and salt dough, exploring colour and shapes with painting and drawing, cutting and sticking.
Calm and loving: I always ensure to put the children's personal interests and needs first when planning activities, I understand children are still developing and understanding their own feelings as well as boundaries and sometimes they will push boundaries to better understand. I am very calm and will explain in different ways health and safety to ensure the well-being of the children at all times in a positive nature.

Tanya was really friendly and very good with our 5 month old son. It was our first time leaving him with someone whilst we went back to work so we weren't sure what he would be like. We immediately felt confident leaving him in Tanya's capable hands. Her experience in childcare is very evident and she got on brilliantly with our son who came to us in the evening very smiley! We'll definitely be in touch again.
