About Me

Dear Parents,

After working as a professional nanny in London for 16 years, I decided to relocate at the end of August to Baldock in Hertfordshire. I am currently doing a full time temporary position looking after a 4 months old baby girl until the end of May.

I am looking for a full time temporary position between mid June and September when I will be leaving for New Zeland.

With an impressive background in providing outstanding care to children from infancy—coupled with my resourcefulness, kindness, and caring demeanour—I am confident that I can provide excellent childcare and overall household support in my new role. I am looking to leverage my skills and background to make a positive impact on your children’s lives.
I bring to this role extensive experience in various childcare positions and possess expertise in nurturing, guiding, teaching, disciplining, and providing loving care to children of all ages. I excel at remaining calm and composed in challenging situations while demonstrating superb active listening, organisation, and communication talents. Additionally, I have complementary experience providing overarching support with various household responsibilities.

In the last 10 years, I have worked as a Nanny for several high net worth families, simultaneously providing care to their children. In my previous role, I have been entrusted to look after up to 6 children with varying ages for 4 families who know each other. My reputation and trustworthiness is such that these families also recommend me to several other families in the St John’s Wood area of London. My other functions include looking after children’s educational and emotional needs – keeping them comfortable, safe and developmentally at par with their peers, and providing companionship and mentorship while their parents were away. I enjoy working with young people, and I excel at contributing to their young lives. As part of your household, I am sure that I will be equally contributory to the lives of both children and parents, wherever deployed.
In addition I have over 10 years working experience with babies from infants. In my current position I look after a 6 months baby, I have been with him since January and we created a very close bond. Most of the positions on my CV started when the children where infants and I've been with the same families now for over 7 years. I specialise in sleep routine, weaning, baby led weaning, nutrition and I have extent knowledge of every step of babies mental and physical development.

I speak both Italian and English fluently. I have both Italian and English citizenship, I am first aid trained, DBS checked and a confident swimmer.

Highlights of my competencies and skills :
• Currently undergoing a childcare diploma.

• Ability to effectively manage my time through careful planning and organisation of work activities.

• An aptitude for identifying and resolving problems efficiently.

• Prepared to travel nationally and internationally with the family.

• Confident and imaginative with constructive play and age - appropriate activities.

• Proactive, very creative and have fantastic ideas to keep children occupied.

I am looking to leverage my skills and background to make a positive impact on your children’s lives. With an impressive background in providing outstanding care to children—coupled with my resourcefulness, kindness, and caring demeanour position me to excel in this role. The chance to offer more insight into my background would be most welcome.i can provide excellent references.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions

Thank you for your time. I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding the position.

Yours sincerely,
Aquilegia Ami Polloni

We had the pleasure old having Ami be the nanny of our children, watching the baby all day then the additional two after they came home from school. She created an enriching environment for our baby, taking him out on walks and to the park, making him healthy lunches and reading and signing songs. She was able to read his cues and created a wonderful relationship with him. She was organized and kind with my older two, ensuring they did their homework and chores but also encouraged art and outside play. She helped with meal prep and dinners when requested. And she was always professional, kind and empathetic. We really enjoyed her and recommend her highly.

We recently had Ami come and help us with my 3 children who have additional needs and my gosh was she absolutely amazing!
My youngest son immediately gave her hugs as soon as she came into the house, and my older children have been asking when she’s coming back to see them again.

Highly recommend Ami as she is most definitely fantastic with children.
