My Experience

I worked at children's summer camps for five consecutive summers where I looked after kids aged 3-9 years. I helped organize creative activities, such as crafts and sports games. Throughout my first two years of university, I worked as a babysitter, where I picked children up from nursery/school, helped with homework, prepared meals and put the kids down for naps. In my final two years at university, I worked as an Early Years Support Worker in a nursery. I assisted the work of early years practitioners to deliver a high standard of care and learning for children aged 0-5 years. I helped with managing daily routines including mealtimes, naptimes, and changes. I was also responsible for carrying out age-appropriate educational activities that supported the children's developmental needs, such as sensory play, reading aloud, rhyme signing, role-playing etc.
