About Me
I am a cheerful, warm and friendly person. I am happy to fit into your family's routine and help in anyway I can; taking care of children, cleaning up around the house, helping with bedtime, schoolwork etc. With younger siblings, I understand how challenging the current circumstances are, particularly for parents with younger children. I therefore hope that I can offer support during these difficult times.
In terms of my interests, I love reading, so I'm always happy to sit down and read stories with kids. I also love playing the piano and singing. As I have younger siblings and a mum who works with children through social work, I know plenty of nursery rhymes and songs that children love!
My Experience
I have provided childcare for a number of different families with children ranging from ages 2 to 15 years. I also completed a one year placement at a local private nursery, where I was able to learn about a range of activities which are both fun and beneficial to children's development.
On a personal level, I have lived with my 2 younger siblings who were born when I was 8/9. As a result, I am used to helping to care for young children and being in the messy, happy chaos that homes with young children often are! Most importantly though, I genuinely enjoy being around children and having the privilege of both supporting and watching them develop. Nothing makes me happier than that moment when I can make a child laugh or smile.
My Qualifications
Currently studying to complete an MA Psychology degree at St Andrew's University. Although my strengths lie on the arts side, I also have a good grasp of mathematics (National 5- A*). I am fluent in English and Japanese, with a Higher Spanish qualification (A) and Advanced Higher level Open University French (distinction).
