About Me
We are a family of four, near Horsenden Farm, with two children, aged 4 and 6. We are looking for a kind, emotionally attuned, and dependable childminder to support us from September 2025, for school pickups and after-school care from St Mary C of E Norwood Green.
Our children can be boisterous and yet gentle souls, curious, engaged, imaginative, and happiest when they are outdoors, drawing, bug hunting, foraging, or talking about the latest insect they’ve found in the garden.
We work from home and the office, and while life is busy, we try to keep things simple and connected. We value empathy, humour, nature, and kindness in the way we raise our children, and we’re hoping to find someone who shares that approach, someone our children can grow to feel safe and at home with.
My Requirements
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Either 1) a childminder within walking distance of St Mary C of E Norwood Green until I pick up from yours OR 2) anywhere along St Mary and UB6 area with own car for children pick up and drop off.
After-School Help (Main Need)
Monday to Wednesday
3:00 pm – 7:00 pm (term time only, but can be flexible to 5 - 7pm)
School pickup from St Mary's
A calm, homely environment to unwind after school, with time for snacks, free play, stories, a bit of crafting or a potter in the garden, whatever you usually offer!
We’d love for the children to wind down gently, with no screen time, and a chance to just “be” after a long school day.
We may need further help on Thursdays and Fridays, flexibly for you and us, so I'll discuss this bit with you when we speak directly.

A great babysitter for us at short notice! Esha was very resourceful and kept the children engaged throughout the day, and mindful of their snacks and mealtimes and observed them really well and sussed out their needs quicky. Very grateful for her help.
Overall
Jessica was very helpful and the children were immediately at ease with her. She navigated through our messy house very well, and on a long day too, with plenty of fun ideas for the children. She’s a natural with children. A great find on childcare.co.uk !
