About Me

I have been a teacher, a headteacher and a tutor for most of my life. My manner is easy going and I have a good sense of humour. I am qualified to Post Graduate Level and highly experienced at preparing students for success in the GCSE English Language and English Literature exams. Some of my tutees seek the highest grade nine, Others hate English and find it really difficult. I have never had a failure.

My Experience

I started my teaching career at a PE Teacher in the East End of London. I became Head of History in a big Comprehensive School before becoming Head of Department and a Housemaster in a well known public School. I was also Headmaster in a small independent school. In 1980 I founded a school travel business which became a market leader and today I run two travel companies: e3 School Tours and Varsity Tours. My hobby is paragliding in Switzerland and Annecy, France. I also enjoy kayaking on the River Wye.

My Qualifications

Certificate in Education. (St. Luke College, Exeter) B.Ed. (Physical Education.) Exeter. B.Ed (History) Exeter. Advanced Diploma in Education. London University. I also had a scholarship to the University of Alberta in Canada.

My Availability

I tutor for JJ Tuition in Leigh and Global LT - an American Company. Apart from these I am free during days and evenings.
