Perfect for us

We are absolutely delighted with our choice to have Shamina as our daughter’s Personal assistant/Nanny. She is truly wonderful and has exceeded all of our expectations.

Our list of requirements was quite challenging, yet Shamina not only met but surpassed every one of them. Our little girl has complex needs, requiring someone who could handle her history of hospital-related trauma and unique way to behave, with exceptional care and attentiveness. Our daughter has severe visual impairment and cardiomyopathy, which makes her life full of hospital interventions, medicines and a busy agenda at hospitals and therapies.

We were seeking someone Ofsted-registered, with a strong background in special educational needs, the ability to assist with schoolwork, and someone highly organized and proactive to help maintain the structure of our daughter's activities and belongings, given our busy lives.

It was also essential for us to find someone who would plan engaging activities, games, and play sessions for Laura.

Someone who would maximize every opportunity for quality time, rather than simply "watching over" her while we attended to other responsibilities.

We needed someone trustworthy to assist during meals, dressing, organizing after play, and fostering Laura’s autonomy with patience and skill.

Shamina embodies all of these qualities and so much more. As both a teacher and a mother, she brings a priceless depth of experience that no course could teach. Her language and communication skills are impeccable, always positive, articulate, and encouraging.

She sets firm but kind boundaries, building a relationship of respect, and beautifully immerses herself in our daughter’s imaginative world, playing along with such devotion that it often brings tears of joy to my eyes.

It was our dream for our little warrior, who faces so many tough battles, to experience these moments of pure happiness and Shamina has made that dream a reality.

Additionally, Shamina quickly adapted to Laura’s unique schooling methods, which include reading and writing in Braille and using specialized technology. Without much instruction from us (as our schedules are very demanding), Shamina efficiently learned everything, often guided by Laura herself.

She has transformed homework time into an enjoyable and motivating experience, celebrating every one of our daughter’s achievements with genuine enthusiasm.

From our very first contact, she gave us an incredible sense of trust and security. Our daughter is absolutely over the moon whenever she is with her. And for context since Laura’s birth, I have never trusted anyone (not even my own mother) to take care of her, much less to pick her up from school and accompany her outside.

Shamina has earned that level of trust with her professionalism, commitment, and heart.

She is always punctual, appropriately dressed, organized, proactive, and presents herself with the utmost professionalism.

We couldn't be happier.
For us, Shamina is truly a blessing sent from above into the life of our brave little girl who deserves someone special like Shamina!
