About Me
I am a fully qualified and Ofsted-registered childminder and was proud to receive a ‘Good’ rating at my first graded inspection in November 2024. I also hold Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
My family includes my husband and our 6-year-old son, and we live in Ruislip, where I run my childminding setting from our home. We are just a 10-minute walk from Ruislip High Street, with both West Ruislip and Ruislip Stations around 15 minutes away. I also offer wrap-around care for children attending Whiteheath Infant and Nursery School, which is an 8-minute walk from our setting.
My ethos is simple: when you leave home with your child, you drop them off at a home. This means that Little Orchard Childminding is designed to be a warm, welcoming environment where children feel comfortable and secure, just as they would in their own home. I strive to create a nurturing setting that supports every child's emotional well-being and sense of belonging, making the transition from home to childminding as seamless and reassuring as possible.
As a childminder, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting your child’s development across all areas of learning while also fostering their curiosity, independence, and creativity.
My Experience
With over 16 years of experience in the early years sector, I have worked in a variety of roles including Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Manager, and Early Years Teacher. These experiences have shaped my strong belief in the power of high-quality, play-based learning to support every child’s development and natural curiosity.
Since becoming a mum, my passion for working with children has grown even more. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident, reassured, and supported when leaving their child in someone else’s care.
At Little Orchard, I aim to create a calm, nurturing, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy, and valued. We enjoy a balance of indoor and outdoor play, local outings, and hands-on activities that support children’s learning and development.
My setting includes a spacious playroom and a large garden, both used daily to encourage active, hands-on learning. I also take children out into the local community, giving them meaningful real-world experiences that help them understand the world around them.
I hold an enhanced DBS check and am fully trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding, and food hygiene.
I accept Tax-Free Childcare and offer the government-funded 30 hours of early education and childcare, available for eligible families from 9 months of age.
My Qualifications
I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional knowledge and practice in early years education. My qualifications include:
• Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
• BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
• Enhanced DBS Check
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Food Hygiene Training
• Safeguarding & Prevent (Level 2)
I also complete regular CPD courses to ensure my knowledge and practice remain fully up to date with the latest guidance, research, and developments in the early years sector.
All of my certificates and qualifications are available to view upon request.

I have two under-2 spaces available. One in May and one in September.

- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
