About Me

My name is Angharad Williams and I would like to welcome you to my childminding services. I'm a fluent Welsh speaker. I live in a semi-detached 3-bedroom house in Pontardawe with my partner Barry and my two children Ethan (16) and Hollie (13). We have two dogs, Luna the Cockapoo whose favorite activity is wagging her tail, and Teddy the Cavachon who is very playful and a joy to be around.

I have primarily worked within a care setting and for the last 8 years, I have worked as an Additional Learning Needs teaching assistant. I love working with children and enjoy watching them learn and grow. I have a degree in childhood studies and have completed all my childminding qualifications, pediatric first aid, safeguarding and I continue to update my skills and knowledge.

We live in a three-bedroom semi-detached house in the town of Pontardawe. We have an enclosed large garden, we live near a local park and are within walking distance from local primary schools.

I offer home from home care in a lovely environment.

The children will have use of the following rooms :

Dining room/playroom - this is the main playroom where we will play with toys, read books and have plenty of exciting opportunities to learn, get creative and explore. I provide a vast range of toys and educational tools. Our dining table is also in this room and is where we eat as well as do crafts. There are double doors in this room leading out to the garden.
Living room - for any younger children that may require it during the day for a nap.
Garden - the children will have lots of playtimes in the garden which consists of a grass area, a slab patio where push-along bikes can be used. There is also an area that allows for the children to engage in imaginative play through the use of the mud kitchen, boat, puppet theatre, and dino land. I also provide opportunities for mark-making and maths games outdoors, as well as a music space.
Free Play is also encouraged, we will have themes and activities throughout the year which the children would be encouraged to participate in should they wish to do so. Use of the great outdoors is encouraged and I like to get out and about daily in all weathers, sun cream or wellies at the ready.
