Hi, my name is Effie! An educational, warm, fun loving nanny with a passion for child development. At the forefront of my care lies a desire to build a close, warm and trustworthy relationship with children and their family on both a professional and personal level! In my personal life, I have great enjoyment for travelling and being active in nature- in 2017 I completed my Volunteer Teaching in Africa! Norway and Poland follow as my next favourite travel spots!
I ultimately have an aim to own my own hobby farm in the future to be able to raise my own children around animals. Abseiling, rock climbing and hiking are a few of the activities I have partaken in over the years. Some of which I still enjoy when my busy schedule allows.
My Experience
My experience and abilities have been accumulated whilst working in various settings over the years. For 3 years I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream school, gaining my Level 3 qualification. Throughout my time in the school, a lot of my practice included working with children with Special Educational Needs. Over my time, I worked across the school ranging from Early Years (age 4/5) to Year 4 (age 7/8).
Since leaving the school, I have worked as a Nanny, with experience from newborn-12 years. Finding my long term career goal as a safeguarding lead and head of year now. Therefore not only do I have experience within childcare but also within education, which I integrate as a part of my work and care for the children and families I work with.
I have a passion to create, prepare and deliver fun and stimulating activities for children, covering a wide variety of milestone targets and child led interests! In addition, I am very organised when it comes to mine and the children's day-to-day schedule, with excellent time keeping to ensure a smooth and nurturing running of daily care. Being able to use my own initiative has made me able to tackle and resolve issues promptly, as well as offer children the mechanisms needed for healthy childhood and peer developments.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
Safeguarding.
First Aid trained with St John Ambulance.
My Availability
Monday- Thursday 5:00pm onwards, all day Friday- Sunday.
