My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Savannah, and I want to support your family.
I was home educated with my siblings on a rewilded organic vegetable farm in South Wales. There, I grew alongside the trees my parents planted when I was born—finding my home with hazel, oak, ash and willow, under the watchful gaze of the Bannau Brycheiniog mountains. I was raised to question, to be curious, kind and humble, trusting in the Earth’s love for me and in my belonging to this world.
I love to sing folk songs, cook delicious food, have a good dance and play outside no matter the weather.
What I Offer
Creative, grounded, and loving care for children of all ages
Support with household tasks: cooking, cleaning, gardening etc
Enhanced DBS check
Prenatal and postpartum care and gentle guidance
A warm, steady presence

My Experience
As the eldest of eight siblings, I naturally stepped into a caregiving role from an early age, with this expanding as I came into contact with other babies and children at the gatherings and community groups I attended. I was affectionately called “little mama.” Throughout my teens, I became involved with a local youth circus, performing and teaching, before going on to study dance at college and university.
While at university, I joined the youth section of an environmental activist group and soon began working full-time, focusing on youth identity, advocacy, and exploring how early childhood shapes our adult sense of place, peace, and purpose.
I later transitioned into babysitting, then nannying, whilst also working at a nursery in Bristol, caring for children aged 6 months to 5 years, in class sizes ranging from 8 to 30. Afterward, I moved to Totnes where I continued nannying and began offering postpartum support while assisting on a 3-month prenatal course as I started to realise my dream to become a birth attendant.
It was at this time that I started a year-long online natural birthkeeping course which led me to apply for and get accepted on a full-time 9-month Pathway to Midwifery course at Da-a-Luz in southern Spain, where I’ve been since September 2024. Whilst living here I have been based in a community of 30 people—15 of whom are children aged newborn to 10. This immersive, community-based living has been a dream come true and a profound learning ground as collective care for home and children is expected by all community members.
The course has included study into many modules such as:
Physiological birth
Traditional postpartum support
Herbalism
Breastfeeding
Nutrition
Throughout, we’ve explored what it truly means to support others, how humility can be embodied, and how to serve someone’s empowerment with integrity.
Caring for children and the home is more than work for me—it is the expression of my deepest values, a way of life. I am passionate about cultivating a world in which people feel at home in themselves and in community, beginning with the foundational years from conception to age five. I know the support parents receive during this time is crucial.
Because of this, I’ve dedicated myself to learning how to communicate clearly, reflect honestly, and create safe, loving, and encouraging environments for children and their parents.
The financial gift of this time with you would support me to continue my training in Spain and open the possibility of traveling further afield to learn with midwives and doulas in places such as Mexico. It would also allow me to volunteer with pregnancy and birth community support groups whilst in Totnes
