About Me
I live in Newton le willows, in a quiet cul-de-sac, very close to local primary schools, local public transport networks, play centres, parks and the library. I am a married mum with two children, a girl who is 18 years old, who attends Carmel college, and a boy aged 16 who attends Hope academy School. I have been in the childcare profession for over 25 years. I was employed as a nanny, on a full time basis, with no breaks between jobs. My last position ended as the children no longer needed care. I wanted to carry on my profession in childcare, so I have set up as an Ofsted registered childminder.
My setting offers a wide variety of indoor toys and equipment, suitable for all ages, my garden is safe and secure and offers extensive play equipment, such slide, play house, sand, water table, trikes, bikes and other small play toys.
My Experience
I have had experience working in nurseries and schools, but my main experience has been gained as a Nanny. I have been a registered childminder since 2011.
I have cared for children from birth to 13yrs on a professional level. Including children with special needs. I have taught children through all of the development stages from rolling over to walking, Holding a pencil to writing their name,feeding, weaning, teaching children to feed themselves, toilet training,Teaching the children all self help skills and basic educational needs. Preparing children for school,I have taken children to and from school and after school activities. I provide fun and appropriate activities and outings for all the children in my care. I have a portfolio to show what it is like for a child in my care.
My Qualifications
I hold a N.V.Q level 2 & 3 in childcare and education.
Attended the approved local authority childminding
**Ofsted Registered GOOD childminder September 2014, May 2018, May 2023**
Hold a valid paediatrics first aid certificate.
Hold a safeguarding children certificate.
Registered as a food business star rating 5, and hold a food Hygiene certificate.

My setting opening hours are 7.30 am - 5.30pm Monday to Wednesday 7.30-5.00 Thurs-Friday. Additional hours and weekends on request

- Childminding from £4.90 per hour
Daily rates available on request, discounts given for siblings.
An hourly rate will apply to anything under a full day or half day. Fees available on request of care needs.

If you are looking for a warm and cosy home-away-from-home environment, that is spotlessly clean, offers healthy meal choices, plenty of outdoor/play group fun & social interaction for your child, then Lisa is the one for you.
Our little girl started with Lisa at 9 months old, as a recommendation. I was an anxious new mum returning to work and the thought of leaving her was overwhelming. I know now I had nothing to worry about. Lisa is caring, warm, kind and professional and has always treated our daughter as if she were her own from day one. Lisa’s communication is faultless, fast to reply with updates when asked, and we can always rely on her for good honest parenting advice.
Our daughter has learned so many amazing skills since she started with Lisa. Lisa somehow worked her magic and got our little girl going from contact/sofa napping to sleeping independently in a cot within weeks of starting. Lisa encourages all aspects of development, from crawling to walking at the start, all the way to now, where we are seeing a huge improvement in her speech, imaginative play and overall confidence. She has encouraged her in ways we can’t as parents, and we are forever grateful for all her hard work.
Our little girl brings home a daily log book detailing all her yummy snacks/meals, nappy changes and sleeps, as well as a little overview of what they got up to that day. Lisa does cute seasonal crafting with the children too and as a bonus we get to see lots of lovely photos and videos from their day trips out.
We can’t thank Lisa enough for everything she has done and continues to do for our daughter and we know we can send our next baby girl to join her too when she’s older without any anxiety. Would recommend her to everyone.

Our little boy started with Lisa, just before his first birthday! We could not be happier with the decision that we made when choosing Lisa. She cares for him like her own and we have absolutely no concerns at all when he is with Lisa, we know that he is in very safe hands, he is cared for, loved and having a brilliant time with all his little friends.

Any parents are anxious to hand their child over to a new care giver. Lisa put us right at ease by suggesting we have some get-to-know eachother sessions at a local playgroup. So our daughter had no problem settling in. I'd met a few childminders but Lisa was just outstanding in every aspect. Our daughter has been there for almost six months and her communication and social skills are constantly improving. We have a record of when she's eaten, bum change and how much sleep shes had and the activities for that day. We get lots of photos of all their exciting trips out. We literally can't imagine any one better to look after our little girl. Struck gold finding Lisa

Ever since our child started in Oct 2020 we've been really happy with the care Lisa provides. She's knowledgable, full of common sense and motivated to make sure there's always lots of great ways for the children to learn through experiences, both the play and interaction opportunities she creates and the mix of outings, events and local places they go to. We love that they get outside everyday, we get pictures and updates cos Lisa keeps in touch so well, and atm our child is so excited about their weekly library visits they proudly take the book back to swap that morning!
We're so glad we chose Lisa's Childminding, and feel lucky that she had space when we needed it.

Couldn't be happier with the care Lisa gives both of my children. My eldest is at school, lisa takes her to and picks her up from school and it is the highlight of her week! She started with Lisa from when she was 1 years old and it was the nest decision we ever made, she flourished in Lisa's calm and nurturing environment. Lisa now has my youngest and there was no question on where he would go. He absolutely adores Lisa and his friends and thriving just like his sister did. He is a very active little boy and he is kept busy and happy. They are always out and about exploring the local environment and to the parks. His favourite time of the week has to be Joe Jingles he always comes home singing away on a Monday evening!

After visiting many childminders we found Lisa and couldn't be happier. She's more than just a childminder, always on hand for any questions or advice, even on days when our child is not in her care. Lisa supports decisions we make as parents and encourages the same behaviours and routines in her setting. Our child's development has come on beyond belief since starting with Lisa and this is testament to the effort and care she puts in daily. The bond our child has with Lisa is more than we could have hoped for and we are truly grateful.

Our little girl was 13 months old when started at Lisa's in July last year and settled in pretty quickly. As we don't have relatives living in close proximity, she only used to Mummy and Daddy before so settling in without difficulty was a nice beginning and it became even better since.
Little munchkin loves going three times a week and she's well occupied; outdoors are always guaranteed just as well playtime at different settlements (e.g. Bent's Garden, soft play areas, indoor play centre, Jo's Jingles), arts and crafts (truly amazing prezzies for all occassions) outings (e.g. Salford fire engine show) and age appropriate education.
We try our best to provide our little one with healthy lifestyle choices and Lisa is a perfect match for that by providing yummy but healthy meals / snacks and promoting fun activities that require loads of movement.
Also our little daughter has always been a later achiever to reach milestones (crawling at 12, walking at 18 months) and developing in a bi-lingual environment but Lisa has always been accommodating to her needs and re-assuring towards us first time parents.
We are really happy with Lisa (and the family!); we feel the best choice made for our happy and bright little daughter (and ourselves). I can highly recommend Lisa's childminding service to parents who want a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for their child(ren).

My little girl started with Lisa in July after 1st being at a local nursery for a few months. We had lots of issues with the nursery so I was soo glad I found Lisa, she has been a breath of fresh air.
My little girl absolutly loves her, loves going and playing with the other children and I feel very happy to leave her with Lisa.
I get pictures and communication during the day of activities they are doing, and there is always an outting planned.
They do lots of crafts which they get to take home, so its lovely for us as parents to have keepsakes.
Lisa also updates a note book of their daily activities, food, nappies, naps and other information.
I cant recommend Lisa enough

I was worried about my little lady going to a my setting but Lisa made it so easy! Charlotte settled straight away and by the second day was waving her daddy off at the door! Just proves to me what an amazing, caring and home from home atmosphere there is!
Lisa keeps us well informed with Charlotte's time there, we know exactly what she's eaten, slept, how many nappies and what she's played.
It's really helped Charlotte's development going to Lisa's twice a week, she's much more confident towards other children and her speech and language is blossoming beautifully.
The communication is faultless, I know I can message Lisa at any time and she'll respond. She offers advice which is handy for a first time mum.
Recently we've been giving story's and puppets to bring home and share with Charlotte which she has loved so much. It's there extra details that really make an outstanding childminder, she genuinely cares about the children she looks after and I know Charlotte loves being with her. (I'm sure if we could afford it and Charlotte could ask shed want to go everyday!)

It was a big step for us, putting the care of our precious daughter into the hands of somebody else (she had only ever been cared for by us and her nanna and grandad previously). However, any doubts or anxiety we had very quickly settled. Our little girl has been in Lisa's care since June 2017 and since she was 14 months old. We very quickly noticed big changes and developments in her, which we attribute to Lisa's care and development and the fact that she is around other children all day (especially the older ones!).
Lisa spends a lot of time planning activities for the children, as well as days out and healthy meals and snacks. Our daughter comes home every night with a diary of her day and she is generally exhausted after her day of fun with Lisa and her little friends! She has a lovely relationship with Lisa and has taken a particular shine to Lisa's own children too! Lisa constantly keeps us up to date with our little girls development, which we love.
Putting our daughter into Lisa's care is the best decision we could have made. After visiting just 1 nursery, we immediately knew that it was not the right path for our little girl and instead, she has a lovely home from home with Lisa and we can leave her confidently in her care, with peace of mind that she is well cared for and most importantly happy. We cannot recommend Lisa enough!
