Sabina
Babysitter in Amesbury
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Sabina. I graduated from university in 2023 and have since been working at a private education company in Hong Kong. I currently do ad hoc online teaching and am now based in Amesbury, where I’m looking for ad hoc childcare opportunities.
I am kind, dependable, and flexible, with a strong background in working with children through professional, voluntary, and family experience. I am confident caring for children of all ages, including babies, and pride myself on being able to adapt to each child’s personality and needs. I aim to build trust so that children feel comfortable, secure, and happy in my care.
My background in education also means I’m very happy to support with homework, reading, and engaging activities that encourage learning in a fun and supportive way.
My Experience
- Over two years of in-person tutoring experience, working with younger children and children with learning differences. I developed a highly adaptable and patient approach, tailoring my teaching style to each child’s individual needs, confidence levels, and learning preferences. This strengthened my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways, maintain engagement, and build trusting relationships that help children feel supported and capable.
- Several years of babysitting experience for family, friends, and as a part-time role. Confident caring for children of all ages, including babies, and experienced in managing routines, preparing meals, supporting bedtime, and planning engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Former lifeguard and swimming teacher, responsible for ensuring children’s safety both in and out of the pool, including supervising changing areas and lunch halls and administering first aid where required. This role required constant vigilance, strong safeguarding awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. As a swimming teacher, I balanced confident leadership with patience and empathy, particularly for children who initially found swimming intimidating.
- Former volunteer at a local youth club supporting children aged 4–12 with special educational needs, predominantly children with ADHD. Focused on helping children socialise, unwind, and enjoy structured activities together. This experience strengthened my communication and listening skills, especially when supporting children who found it difficult to express their emotions.
- Additional experience in netball coaching and assisting with children and Shetland ponies at parties and events, developing my ability to confidently manage groups of children in both structured and fun environments.
