About Me
Myself and my wife Becky are looking for a Nanny from the 3rd November as current Nanny is relocating sadly.
We have a beautiful six year old girl called Scarlett. We are a relaxed and fun loving family looking for someone positive to help our household.
We live in Dollis Hill (Northwest London NW10) and are a family of three. Both parents work full time, Dad is full time office based and Mum works hybrid with three days a week in the office and two from home.
My Requirements
We have a beautiful little girl called Scarlett who has just started year 1 at the school a short walk from our home.
Standard Hours: 25 hrs per week.
School drop off is 08:30 and 15:15 for pick up.
Monday & Friday
08:00 - 09:45 (1.75hrs)
15.00-17.30 (2.5hrs)
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
7.30-09:30 (2hrs )
15.00-18:30 (3.5hrs)
25 hrs per week, expectation and agreement to extend hours when school is closed / holidays etc.
We are flexible to discuss how hours are worked over a week, if the successful candidate wanted to do more hours one day and create a larger portion of another day off. The key times that are fixed are the morning starts to help get Scarlett ready for school and then the pick up and afternoon care.
The core of the role would be in effect wrap around care with the remaining hours childcare related tasks around the house such as cooking of meals for Scarlett, and after school activities + household laundry, for example.
Benefits:
Pay: Gross per hour £20.50
Pension
Annual holiday 5.6 weeks (28 days Including bank holidays) Three weeks to be taken at a time set by the family, Christmas and two week summer holiday for example.
Job Role
We are looking for a Nanny / to provide extended wrap around care with the flexibility to cover full time hours during school holidays.
Our beautiful daughter loves being outside and has a keen interest in art and drawing. Duties would include caring for Scarlett, preparation of her healthy meals, taking her to School and various activities such as swimming club, home work, plus laundry, keeping the house tidy from her toys.
We are two minutes walk from Dollis hill tube, and looking at this as a long term position.
Childcare Duties:
Care for & stimulate Scarlett both mentally & physically, to ensure her intellectual, physical & social development.
Plan & undertake activities on a one to one basis & with other children of the same age.
Look after Scarlett’s physical well-being – ensure she brushes her teeth that her appearance is generally well maintained.
Help to develop and maintain levels of discipline to engender appropriate behaviour and help uphold common courtesy and family values.
Providing a varied, interesting, balanced and home cooked diet. Preparing and cooking food and cleaning relevant areas of the kitchen after meals.
Take to and collect Scarlett from school, clubs, classes, groups and playdates at other children’s houses safely & on time.
Liaison with staff at school or groups, and attending any meetings held in connection with them, checking that messages from schools or groups such as details of outings etc. are passed on and informing your employers of any meetings or problems.
Ensuring Scarlett is dressed in appropriate clothes for any after school club or activities (e.g. sport clubs or other activities).
Stimulate and have fun with Scarlett so they are happy, content and confident. Finding out about local activities for the school holidays..
Taking Scarlett to the Doctor for check ups and vaccinations by arrangement, Attending to them when they feel unwell and administering medication as needed.
Assist Scarlett with reading and homework.
Role to add hours during school holidays to provide full child care when school is closed
Householder duties:
Washing, and putting away Scarlett’s clothes, ensuring there is a sufficient supply of clean clothes for the weekend, checking clothes at regular intervals for damage and putting aside any that have been outgrown.
Doing the general washing by machine when the load is large enough. Hanging the washing out to dry or tumble drying where items can be tumble dried. Putting away household washing.
Running dishwasher if there is a large enough load, and putting it away.
Being available to take deliveries, give access to workmen etc., by arrangement.
Receive and put away food delivery.
Securing the house and ensuring that all windows and doors are locked whenever the house is left, even for a short period of time.
The house alarm must be active when the house is empty.
