The World Outside Kindergarten is an outdoor nursery, with all the benefits of a traditional nursery meeting all the requirements of the EYFS outdoors. Open 51 weeks of the year 8am to 6pm

We offer funded places and spilt funded places.
"At The World Outside, our commitment to providing a high level of care is reflected in our staff ratio, which surpasses that of traditional nurseries. Our goal is to maintain an adult to child ratio of no less than 1:5, as opposed to the standard 1:8 ratio.
The Government Funding does not cover certain expenses such as higher staff ratios for increased supervision, additional hours, services, or consumables. To ensure a quality and safe environment, there is a Woodland Supplement charge, which covers the cost of additional staff and the extras required to run a safe setting with engaging activities.

I couldn’t recommend this setting enough. The World Outside are true to their promise of allowing the children to play mostly outdoors to support their development. I feel like all the staff really know and understand my daughter and her needs, and she speaks of her “teachers” and friends at the setting with real positivity. I would recommend this setting to anyone who understands that children thrive when they’re allowed to really get their hands dirty and explore nature without too much unnecessary adult interference.

We have used this kindergarten for both our children and been extremely happy. In terms of our children’s development, we feel both have thrived in their own individual ways at The World Outside. Our eldest has transitioned fantastically to mainstream primary and we attribute a lot of this to their foundational stage at kindergarten. Our second child is happy and thriving currently at the kindergarten. We have noticed how the setting has really made our children confident in their abilities, embracing of risk, resilient and determined whilst having a connection and respect of the natural world around them. We feel so lucky to have found this kindergarten and it will always have a special place in our hearts. We could not recommend it highly enough and hope future families have such positive experiences as we have!

My son is thriving at The World Outside kindergarten, he absolutely adores all of the staff members and can’t wait to tell me about his day when he gets home. His confidence has grown so much since he started. He now loves the outdoors and enjoys getting his hands dirty. I have put 3 stars for cleanliness, but as a mostly outdoor setting I would not expect 5 stars for cleanliness. I love that my child is playing in nature, getting dirty, jumping in puddles and having the best time doing what kids should do. He has grown in independence massively since he has been attending.
