Part Time Nanny Job In Bedford
About Me
Family of 3, soon to be 4, looking for a part-time nanny/mother’s help, ideally for a few hours before and after school and bedtimes 4-5 days a week.
Dad works away in Wales from Monday-Friday. We have a second baby on the way, due in January 2024. Our little girl will be 4 in December.
Mum will be at home so the nanny would only be required to look after one child at a time, or help out as needed with mum there too.
We also have a very calm 10-year-old female golden retriever (a certified therapy dog) who might appreciate the occasional walk or cuddle, and two cats.
We hope to find a nanny who will become part of the family.
My Requirements
We are looking for someone who can start by the first week in January (when baby is due) but ideally who would have time to get to know us before that.
Our earliest start date would be September.
Ideal scenario would be 2-3 hours per day, 4-5 days a week (as minimum Tue, Wed, Thur), to include:
1 hour in the morning (approx 7:30-8:30am)*
2-2.5 hours in the evening (approx 5:30-8pm)
If you were available to start from September we could work out what was needed on an ad hoc basis as I will still be working up till the end of November (I am a postgraduate student).
Required:
- experience with 0-4 year olds
- warm, affectionate, engaged
- fun, able to be silly, sense of humour
- able to read stories and engage in imaginative play
- strong communication skills
- enthusiastic, energetic, creative
- references
Desirable:
- willing to help out as needed with light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, folding clothes, etc
- occasional dog walking
- strong swimmer (we live near a river!)
