Thank you for reading our ad. We’re looking for an after-school nanny to support our family, Monday to Friday, with additional longer days during school holidays. Our previous nanny was with us for seven years, and we’re keen to find someone who enjoys a calm, settled role with independent children.

The role involves picking up our 10-year-old daughter from her school in Sydenham and bringing her home to our house in Forest Hill. Pick-up is usually between 3.30–4.30pm, depending on clubs. There is a bus that covers most of the journey; driving and having your own car would be a bonus but isn’t essential. We’d usually need you until around 6.30–7pm.

Our children are confident and independent and don’t need constant supervision or entertainment. After school they tend to focus on homework, reading, and their own interests, so we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable giving them space while being present and supportive. Help with homework, if needed, some light household duties and cooking a family dinner are part of the role.

Hours during term time are around 10 -12 hours a week over five days. During school holidays we typically need 2–3 longer days (around 8.30am–6.30pm), and we’re happy to discuss flexibility around this.
