My Experience

I’ve spent several years caring for children of all ages from tiny babies and curious toddlers to KS1/2 learners and children with additional needs. Over time, I’ve developed a nurturing, calm, and organised approach that supports both children’s development and the smooth running of family life.

I truly love helping children grow in confidence, ability, and independence. With little ones, I’ve had the joy of supporting those special early milestones like first steps, first words, and everything in between. I enjoy creating sensory activities such as homemade playdough, water play, and interactive storytelling to encourage early communication and motor skills.

For KS1/2 children, I like to make learning fun and meaningful turning spelling lists into treasure hunts, rainy days into science experiments, and homework into something they actually look forward to. I also have extensive experience working with children with ADHD, autism, and other additional needs. I always take the time to understand each child as an individual. Using visual routines, sensory activities, and lots of gentle encouragement, I aim to help them build focus, independence, and social confidence. Watching a child make progress no matter how small, never stops being rewarding.

Beyond childcare, I’m very comfortable supporting the household too. I’ve managed family calendars, planned meals, organised after school activities, run errands, and kept the home environment calm and welcoming. I enjoy creating a balance of structure and warmth, where both parents and children feel supported. I also love cooking and preparing healthy, colourful meals that children actually enjoy, while keeping any dietary needs in mind. What matters most to me, above everything, is the bond I build with the children I care for.

I take pride in being a steady, positive presence, someone who celebrates their achievements, listens to their worries, and helps them grow with kindness and confidence. Whether it’s comforting a toddler after a tumble, helping with reading, writing, or maths, or supporting an older child through school challenges, I always bring patience, empathy, and genuine care.
