This supporting statement explains how I meet the required experience and skills for this position. Reflecting on my educational experience, I recognise the immense impact that nannies have on childrens lives, as well as how education provides children with skills that they can utilise throughout their lives. As a nanny, I wish to serve as a role model for children, encouraging them to believe in their own ability to make a meaningful contribution to society. I'm applying for the nanny position with that goal in mind.
My Experience
With a strong background in early years care/Montessori including experience with toddlers and school aged children, special educational needs, and household and PA support, I bring not only consistency and professionalism but also creativity, patience, and a genuine love for guiding children through all stages of development. Whether it’s helping with homework and phonics, supporting their social emotional growth, or engaging in role play, arts, and storytelling, I aim to make learning both meaningful and fun.
In my previous roles, I’ve balanced everything from school pick-ups and activity planning to managing routines and promoting independence. I’m highly organised, calm under pressure, and confident in coordinating schedules and communicating effectively with parents and wider household teams. I understand the importance of maintaining a structured day while allowing for creativity and flexibility especially when working in a team setting with hands on parents and long standing staff.
