About Me
Hi! I'm studying history at university but I've always had a passion for working with children. I am a kind and patient person, I enjoy cooking and baking and would be comfortable making meals for the children and helping with homework/activities. I also play the violin and love spending time outdoors no matter the weather!
My Experience
I volunteered in a nursery for a couple of hours a week for 4.5 years. These children were aged 1-4 and my role involved supervising meal times, reading/playing with the children and completing jobs around the nursery.
As well as babysitting in my local area, I worked as a nanny for two families with children aged 3-11. My role involved driving them to/from activities, helping with homework and cooking.
I also work for a charity called Action Breaks Silence which aims to stop violence against women and girls. As part of this work, I was involved in teaching an 8 week programme to primary school children. This programme involves educating students about a range of topics including gender stereotypes, self love, types of abuse and setting boundaries.
My Qualifications
I have spent a significant amount of time with young children and I am comfortable looking after children of varying ages. I learnt a lot from volunteering at my local nursery and from babysitting/nannying over the last few years. I also have a recent DBS check and a driving licence.
