About Me
? Notting Hill, London
We are a warm, busy family based in Notting Hill looking for a long-term House Manager / Nanny to join us as a trusted and valued part of our household.
Mum works full-time in a C-suite executive role, so we are looking for someone confident, proactive, and organised who can help keep both family life and household logistics running smoothly.
This role combines primary childcare for our 5-year-old son with day-to-day household organisation, administration, and support. We already have a housekeeper who attends several times a week, so this position focuses on coordination, structure, and reducing mental load, rather than deep cleaning.
We are ideally looking for someone early in their nannying or house-management career, with great energy, common sense, and a genuinely proactive, adult approach.
My Requirements
Childcare & Development
• Provide warm, attentive, and energetic care before and after school
• Actively play, engage, and interact — indoor and outdoor play, games, reading, and creative activities
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities (no screen time)
• Support light tutoring (reading, writing, basic maths)
• Reinforce positive routines, good manners, confidence, and independence
• Manage playdates, outings, and social development
• Support daily routines (school preparation, bathing, laundry, organisation)
• Work closely with parents to support our son’s development into a kind, confident, polite, and well-rounded boy
?
Household Management & Administrative Support
• Work closely with Mum to share the cognitive and administrative load of running the household, particularly given a demanding full-time executive role
• Act as a capable, organised second adult — anticipating needs and taking initiative
• Coordinate household logistics including errands, deliveries, appointments, and household-related work (particularly following a recent move)
• Book and manage routine appointments (GP, dentist, child-related appointments) and track follow-ups
• Liaise with and coordinate household support and external providers (housekeeper, trades, deliveries)
• Manage household admin via phone, email, and messaging — confident booking, rearranging, and following up independently
• Support organisation of family schedules, reminders, and day-to-day planning
• Assist with dinner reservations, social plans, and occasional family logistics
• Follow recipes and support basic meal preparation, including simple, healthy meals and snacks
• Ensure nothing “falls through the cracks” across household and family admin
This role focuses on oversight, organisation, and support rather than deep cleaning.
?
Schedule & Coordination
• Manage the child’s weekly schedule (school, activities, playdates)
• Coordinate closely with parents on routines, term dates, school communications, and activities
• Help maintain structure, predictability, and a calm rhythm to the week
?
Hours & Flexibility
• This is a full-time, salaried role
• Working hours will vary between approximately 40–60 hours per week, depending on school schedule and household needs
• A typical working pattern is Monday–Friday, around 7:00am–6:30pm, with flexibility during school hours and lighter weeks when school commitments are reduced
• Occasional evening or weekend support may be requested with notice and agreed in advance
We value flexibility, responsiveness, and clear communication on both sides, and aim to build a sustainable working relationship with the right person.
?
Location & Family Structure
• The role is primarily based in Notting Hill
• You will work across family homes depending on our son’s schedule
• Clear communication and advance planning will always be provided
?
Future Family Needs
• A newborn is expected late 2026 / early 2027
• Baby-related responsibilities will be introduced gradually and evolve over time
?
Compensation & Benefits
• £3,300–£3,500 net per month, paid as a flat monthly salary
• Based on a full-time role with hours varying between 40–60 hours per week
• Includes sick pay, holiday pay, and agreed mid-week evening babysitting
• 5 weeks annual leave plus the week between Christmas and New Year
• Opportunity to travel with the family (all expenses covered)
• Formal salary and scope review after six months
• Start date flexible (ideally late April)
?
The Right Person
• Looking for a long-term role
• Energetic, playful, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
• Organised, calm, reliable, and confident taking initiative
• Comfortable supporting early learning and school structure
• Tech-comfortable and happy managing admin via phone and messaging
• Flexible, available, and responsive when needed
• Brings positive energy, maturity, and common sense into the home
