About Me
I am a mum of five children (twin girls, a daughter and two sons) and decided to become a childminder shortly after having my second child.
I chose this career because I really love being able to support and encourage children's development, learning and understanding but also spend time with my own children. I've worked in childcare for over 20 years and during that time I've been in a variety of settings including nurseries, schools and being a nanny.
I enjoy being able to be part of a child's life journey and helping them to reach their own full potential, leading to them being confident, self assured and independent individuals.
I am very passionate about children being able to have lots of fun and have active learning opportunities while they play. I aim to provide an enabling environment where children are able to have positive experiences and friendships, while fulfilling activities in a safe, happy place so all children can fulfill their full potential and gain rich life experience.

My Experience
I have worked with children in a variety of settings for over 20 years. I started shortly after leaving school with an apprenticeship at a children's day nursery where I worked my way up to deputy manager throughout my 6 years working there. Following that I worked in a couple of other nurseries and preschools before becoming a private nanny and private tutor.
I took this opportunity to complete an English Language and Literature degree with BA honours along side my private tutor work. This led me onto working with children as a teaching assistant at a primary school , a secondary school and then onto a secondary school for children with learning difficulties that impacted their behaviour.
I then left this job after having my second child. During my time off with them I decided to start my own business as a childminder and continue doing the job I love without having to miss my children too much.
Throughout all of my career I have always tried to continue learning and develop my skills wherever I can and continue to do so.

NVQ 2 & 3 in Early years childcare and development
Makaton signing course

My Availability
I'm available to care for children Monday - Friday from 7:30am until 6pm
I also offer wrap around care for children that attend Wittering primary school

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I charge £5.50 per hour. I can provide a hit meal a lunchtime and light tea and snacks throughout the day at an extra cost.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Wittering Primary School
