My Summary

My Experience

As an experienced childminder, I have cared for children from 3 months to 11 years old and I genuinely love supporting children through every stage of their development. Watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills and discover the world around them is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.

Activities are carefully planned around each child’s interests, individual needs and stage of development, creating fun and meaningful learning experiences every day. I provide a balance of both adult-led activities and child-led play, giving children the freedom to explore, create and learn through their own interests using a wide variety of engaging resources.

Children in my setting particularly enjoy choosing their own activities — from the ever-popular car garage and emergency vehicle sets to creative drawing, sensory play, mark making and imaginative play. We also love setting up garden obstacle courses, building giant house-length marble runs, exploring nature, and enjoying regular trips to the local park. No two days are ever the same, and there is always plenty of opportunity for fun, learning and adventure.

Over the past 18 years, I have built an excellent relationship with the local pre-schools and nurseries and work closely in partnership with their staff to help support smooth transitions and continuity in children’s learning and development.

My Qualifications

I came to childminding from a teaching background, with five years’ experience across both nursery and school setting, alongside a degree in Early Years Education. I have now been childminding for 18 years, bringing together professional knowledge, experience and a genuine passion for supporting children to learn, grow and flourish.

As a parent myself to grown up twins, I understand the importance of providing a safe, nurturing and reliable environment where children feel happy, secure and valued, and where parents feel fully supported and reassured.

I hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification, an up-to-date DBS check, and a Level 3 qualification in Home-Based Childcare. I am also incredibly proud to have achieved an Ofsted Outstanding rating, reflecting the high-quality care, learning experiences and support I provide for every child in my setting.

My Fees

• Childminding from £7.00 per hour

I charge £7 an hour. This includes meals, snacks, wipes and covers the cost of all activities.
There is no charge if I am unavailable to work and I'm always happy to try to accommodate day swaps and ad hoc bookings where possible.
