About Me
My name is Kineta and I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Shefford, Bedfordshire. I live with my husband and two children - a girl aged six and a boy aged three. With a background in primary education, and now being a Mummy to my own children, I understand how important it is to find a childminder who you can trust and feel comfortable with. I work with parents to ensure children feel comfortable, happy and content in my care.
I provide a welcoming, warm and secure home from home setting where children from three months upwards can develop, grow and learn. I have a wide range of toys and ensure that there is regular opportunities to access arts and crafts, messy play, garden play, music, singing and sensory play. I have space upstairs for travel cots for children who need to nap in peace. We head out of the house as much as possible and in all weathers! We also go to local groups, have play dates, visit parks and farms, use the library and lots of other local places. I believe in giving children a wealth of different experiences which aids building those vital foundations during their most formative years.
My Experience
I always knew that I wanted to work with children from a very young age. At school I had part time jobs working in after school settings and babysitting. When I finished school I went to college to complete a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare which meant I was a qualified Nursery Nurse. From there I went to university to gain a teaching degree - BA Hons in Primary Education with a specialism in Early Years. After qualifying I worked at the same primary school for seventeen years teaching across the school but mainly in in the Reception, Nursery and Year One classes. I love teaching but now I have my own young children I have made the decision to start a new venture and become a childminder. Exciting times ahead!

BTEC National Diploma in Childcare - Nursery Nursing
Bachelor of Arts Honours in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status specialising in Early Years Education
Paediatric First Aid

I am available from Tuesday to Friday and can offer either term time or full time - this is open for discussion.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My charges are currently...
£7.00 an hour between 8am and 5pm for full time child care (more than 30 hours per week)
£7.50 an hour for part-time child care (less than 30 hours per week)
Drinks and small snacks throughout the day are included.
Families are to provide meals.
For school run childcare...
£7.50 an hour 8am to 9am
£7.50 an hour between 3pm and 5pm
Please note: the minimum charge for school drop off or pick up is 1 hour.
