Part Time Nanny With Special Needs Experience Job In Abingdon
About Me
From October we are looking to employ somebody to care for our 6yo daughter.
We are a family of 5 that require childcare support in our home during the week for our 6yo daughter who has special needs due to a rare genetic disorder. Our daughter is a delight and is easy to look after however she requires observation and support with her mobility, feeding and play. Some basic training around feeding will be provided by the local community nurses. Our daughter responds positively to sensory play, storytelling, music and lots of engagement. Some ad hoc weekend work is also available.
On the days worked either myself (mum) or dad will be home or working from home and so are always on hand. We have another daughter who is 4 years old and a son who is 1.5 years old (both attend nursery 3 days per week).
Experience with special needs children desired but not essential.

My Requirements
Childcare requirements include:
- sensory play
- setting up and observing feeds (training will be provided)
- changing nappies
- supporting motor skills development
- some moving (eg moving from supportive chair to change)
- bath (only if hours in early evening)
- cuddles :)
