Hi parents, my name is Catherine Rico. I am 32 years old and I am from Colombia. I am a profesional Social Communicator with a postgraduate course in Pedagogy –focused on Creative Thinking–. I also hold the ELE certificate to teach Spanish as a second language. I have extensive experience in the education sector, specially in pre-school, primary and secondary schools; therefore I love working with children and youngsters. Currently, I am living in London with a full-time work visa. I'm friendly, punctual and responsible. I speak native Spanish and have an intermediate level of English.
My Experience
I have worked in the education sector during the last 10 years, specially in the teaching of language in pre-school, primary and secondary schools and some language academies, so that I have been broadly involved in the process of teaching and care of children and young adults. Furthermore, throughout my whole life I have been in charge of the emotional and educational development of my own younger brother, who has a special condition (cognitive impairment) with very special needs. This has given me a deeper understanding and sensitivity towards childcare.
