About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder, qualified Teacher and caring mother of one with a passion for learning and development in the Early Years. I am very calm and patient, I encourage children to make positive choices through emotion coaching- being a good listener, valuing their feelings and helping them find solutions. I live with my partner Ross (who is also a qualified teacher and fantastic with children), my beautiful daughter Rae born 2018 and our tortoise Terry. We live in Hillmorton in walking distance from two parks and woodlands. We are fortunate to have a beautiful green outside the front of the house- perfect for picnics in the summer and making dens and ball games whatever the weather. We have a long back garden which is great for exploring, learning about nature and the seasons, and growing our own vegetables. We also have a beautiful playroom to keep the children entertained! My main priorities are to ensure the children are safe, they have fun and are happy during their time with me.
My Experience
I qualified as a teacher with Early Years Specialism in 2010. Since then I have taught in a village preschool, mainstream primary school and specialist primary school for children with Special Educational Needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, ASD and ADHD. I taught in a bilingual preschool in northern Italy for 2.5 years and also took a break from teaching, when working for the council as an Early Communication Support Worker. I really enjoyed getting to work with children and their families in their homes within this role, supporting the development of family engagement and children’s speech and language. I am qualified in Safeguarding, Food Health and Safety and Paediatric First Aid. I can’t imagine having a career without working with children- no two days are ever the same and their endless energy, enthusiasm and humour brings me happiness!

I have a CPD record for the past 12 years of teaching/ working in the children's integrated services. I have attended and learnt a lot through frequent training, such as:

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Lunches, snacks and drinks can be provided for a small additional fee otherwise parents/carers are welcome to send them in.
Outings and play group fees are included.
Discounts are available for siblings, please speak to me about this.
I am signed up to the tax free childcare scheme and offer funded spaces.
