I am a passionate and caring primary school teacher with 9 years of experience teaching children aged 3–11.
I love helping children develop confidence in reading, writing, and maths, and I believe learning should be enjoyable as well as effective.
I hold a PGCE in Primary Teaching and have current training across all primary subjects. I am also trained to deliver Read Write Inc. phonics, supporting children to become confident readers and writers. I tailor my lessons to each child’s needs, ensuring they feel supported, motivated, and proud of their progress.
My Experience
I have experience teaching across all primary subjects and am currently an Assistant Head at my school. Over the years, I have developed effective strategies for delivering Maths through engaging and fun resources that encourage children to explain their thinking, draw out their methods, and record their work using correct mathematical symbols.
I have extensive experience preparing children for statutory assessments, including the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check and Year 2 SATs, and can confidently support children to access and succeed in these papers.
I am trained in teaching early reading through Read Write Inc and FFT Phonics. Alongside teaching sessions, I can provide tailored resources for children to use throughout the week and regularly assess their reading progress to ensure steady improvement.

My 6 year old son has just started a few weeks ago with Iram and she has been fantastic!
We knew our son needed extra help as he was behind with his reading and writing skills but were not sure where his current level was and how to help.
Iram did an assessment so we knew exactly where he was and he has managed to progress already which was confirmed by a follow up assessment.
My son enjoys his sessions and seeing his growth and confidence has been so rewarding.
We look forward to seeing him reach his full potential with Iram’s expertise and friendly guidance.
I cannot recommend her enough!

Iram has been tutoring my son since the start of this year. She was recommended by a parent whose child attends her school. My son was struggling with Maths & Reading and due to this his confidence was low as he noticed he was slightly behind in his class.
Iram has been absolutely instrumental in getting my son’s confidence levels up again. He has massively improved with both maths and reading! He also mentions how much he enjoys going to these tutoring sessions, even though they’re on the weekend! ☺️
Looking forward to seeing him blossom even more under her wing!
