I have really enjoy looking after children. I honestly don't believe there is a better job out there. My days are spent exploring the world through the eyes of children, where everything is a great new adventure waiting to be explored.

I am opening up my own Tiney home nursery called Trailblazing Tots. I will be opening for the first time on the 1st September. I have had 10 years of childcare experience and I have work with arrange of age groups range from 0 years to 16,disabilities and multiples. I have achieved A-levels in Health and Social care and Sociology. I have also attended University, where I studied child development, for one and half years. I have gained my experience from work experience placements at college and University and three years at a nursery, working the holidays and then going full time.
I have:
1) achieved my GCSEs with 7 high grade passes.
2) a full clean driving license.
3) first aid certifies
I will be registered under a child minding agency called Tiney who will regulate me and support me with training and new guidance so I can keep up to date in support your child development.
I will be providing care for children aged 6 weeks until starting school through out the day. I also will be providing school drop off and pick up from Orchard infants and Juniors.
I have a designated space for my home Nursery and big outdoor space for your child to have fun playing in all year round. You are welcome visit to see the opportunities available.
I enjoy looking after children and I have a great knowledge of parks and places where children can safely play. I enjoy taking children for picnics in the forest and down on the beach. I also enjoy cooking, craft activities, bike riding and swimming
My values, towards childcare, are I believe children should be able to be children, to learn through play, to feel safe in their environment. Every day is a day for a great adventure where social, emotional and physical needs can be developed.

I have my own two children aged 6 and 10 years of aged that love to socialise with other children.
We have 2 cats and a pet Rabbit that are child friendly and love attention.

My Experience

My Experience
Currently I am working in a Nursing home. I love my job but my passion is child development and child care and I would like to return to the field of child education. I took this line of work to fit around family life as I have two children. Now as they have settled in to education, I am able to focus on my career.

From April 2013 until September 2015, I worked with a family with triplet boys. My roles were to take care of the boys meeting their needs; making sure they are treated equality but meeting their own individual needs and helping develop the own identity and taking care of the house. We do lots of outings to the park and forest as the boys loved to be outside.

Before this, November 2012 till April 2013, I worked part time for a family with two children, aged 2 and 5 years old, as their nanny. My roles consisted of the school run in the afternoon and taking care of the 2 year old throughout the day. Often I would take him to groups down the local Children Centre and doing other fun activities both at home and within the local area.

In July 2010 to August 2011, I worked with a family of two children age 6 and 7 as their nanny and house keeper. While the children were at school, I would clean the family home and do the children's washing and ironing and in the evening would prepare the family meal. I had the responsibility of driving them from school and taking them to their after school activities. When the children were at home, after school and on school holidays, I would keep up with their school work and take them out on day trips whatever the weather.

I worked for a family looking after their one year old child in November 2009 till July 2010. I had solo care of the child, helping him reach his developmental milestones. I was also required to housework throughout the day washing, ironing and preparing meals for the child and the family.
The job came to the end as the family decided to move to far away for me to travel.

May 2009 till October 2009- I worked as a full time nanny with a family of four children ages 1, 3, 5 and 11 years old. I had solo care of all children as both parents worked full time. My duties were to educating the children, for example helping with homework and to teach the basic of health and hygiene, cooking skills and to teach them to be independent. I also had to general everyday housework, tidying up after the children and their washing. I had the responsibility of driving to school and taking them out in the car.
I have enjoyed working with the family and enjoyed becoming a part of everyday life but my job has come to an ended as the mother lost her job.

October 2006 to January 2009- I worked in a Nursery placement which started off part time and then went on to a full time basis, which involves working within a team or as a team leader. My duties include working with a range of age groups and children with disabilities, creating activities, which have to cater for their varying abilities thus helping the children to achieve their Early Years foundation stages. Compiling assessment reports and multi professional working that involves coordinating with other professional bodies e.g. Police, Doctors etc. and liaising with parents.

I had enjoyed my experience within this Nursery placement. However, the work was irregular and was only ever intended to support my studies.

I worked at Tesco in Southampton and in Chichester form July 2005 to January 2008 as multi-skilled personnel. My duties included serving customers, refilling shelves and dealing with deliveries. I also spent time within the kitchens, grocery and bakery departments.

January 2006- I acquired further work experience at Manor infant school. Here I worked as a teacher’s assistant where I gained skills and experience looking after children, being responsible for setting planned and impromptu activities and filling in the appropriate paperwork. Due to this success I was asked to be accountable for taking the class on days when the teacher was otherwise occupied.

In August 2004, I undertook work experience with children with disabilities. Here I gained experience in looking after the children’s needs on a day-to-day basis whilst helping the children to accomplish their full potential.
