My Experience
During my degree, I had the pleasure of working with children in both general and acute care settings. I completed training in Paediatric Basic Life Support and First Aid, providing me with the skill of remaining calm when under pressure.
In addition, I have several years of personal experience supporting relatives and family friends with childcare. This has included providing overnight care for newborn, daily care to young children, and offering mothers the extra support they need. My responsibilities have ranged from assisting with feeding, routines and bedtime, to creating fun and engaging activities, supporting learning and completing homework, as well as light housekeeping to maintaining a safe and welcoming home environment.
