About Me
Hello, my name is Kerry and I am an Ofsted registered childminder providing home based childcare in Copmanthorpe, York. I am married with three daughters aged 18, 16 and 14 years plus 2 friendly fluffy cats called Eddie’ and Molly. We live in a child friendly home, which has had a Home Fire Safety Check by members of the local Fire and Rescue Service. We have a dedicated playroom with downstairs toilet and we use half the kitchen space too. With an outside gazebo and lots of outdoor equipment in a fully enclosed garden, with own specific entrance/door bell through the garden gate, with direct access into the childcare space. We are close to the local school, playgroup, nurseries and to the local park and shops. Copmanthorpe is also ideally located with easy access to the A64 if you are commuting e.g. from York to Leeds

I seek to provide a supportive, yet stimulating environment for your child, so that they may play, grow and develop with confidence in a happy family environment
Children learn when they are in a safe and caring environment where they are stimulated through play.
Babies and young children develop best when they are in a caring relationship with an adult. A baby will learn to walk faster when they have a safe pair of arms to walk towards and learn to talk, when they have an adult listening and responding to them.
I will strive to provide your child with an environment that will be caring, fun and stimulating. I will implement ideas from the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. I am also connected to the local playgroups and school through the Early Years Partnership, so I gain lots of experience and ideas through them too.

I have First Aid for child carers
I have achieved the home based child care practise unit qualification, and I have regularly completed a basic awareness in child protection course.
I am registered with Food Standards Agency
My Availability
Due to some changes that Covid has brought along with natural progression of children into school, currently I offer before and after school care, therefore I am able to offer spaces for new Early Years children between the hours of 9am - 2pm Monday - Wednesday with the possibility of longer days on Thursdays

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £4.26 per hour
Current child care rates for Early years children term time are £21.25 per child per day between 9:00am and 2.00pm. Day rate includes all drinks, snacks and the children bring their own lunch. I accept childcare vouchers.
Before and after school rate term time is £17.00 and includes snack after school. Pick up is currently offered from Panda and Copmanthorpe Primary School..
School holiday cover dates are agreed prior to each holiday depending on demand. Times offered are 8am-4pm including morning and afternoon snack and the children bring a packed lunch. Holiday cover is charged at £34.00 per child as taken.
Early starts and late finishes by prior agreement only. Rates are subject to review on annual basis and at least 1 month notice is given for any change.
