About Me
I am a passionate early-years teacher and Ofsted registered Childminder (as of September 2022).
I have worked with children for over 12 years, most recently as a Nursery Teacher for outstanding independent schools in Notting Hill and Clapham. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Year 1 and worked as a Nanny in central London for several years. I am very familiar with the EYFS and the stages of development up to Year 2 and so I can prepare your child for their next big step.
I have a 21 month girl and we like to play in the house as well as get out and about in the local area. We love toddler playgroups, playgrounds, parks, feeding the ducks and visits to the local libraries. I am very enthusiastic about Art, and I love painting and drawing. It always involves lots of sticking and gluing (sorry in advance for the glitter). We are looking for one other child, as this allows us to enjoy fun outings.
I am happy to have different children during the week , ideally full time. If you are looking for school drop offs and pick-ups around the area, feel free to contact me as I might have availability.
My first aim is to provide your child with a safe, happy, warm and welcoming home-based environment. My second aim is to help your child to become independent and confident, in order to provide them with a very easy and smooth start to school.
My Experience
My experience is focused in early years education. I have worked in Nurseries, Reception and Year 1. I have cared for children in their first year of nursery, focusing their learning through the three prime areas of learning, also their second year where the learning is focused on the 7 areas of learning. Two of my favourites are maths and literacy, I have a wide range of games that the children love. I also have had two years’ experience in Reception and Year 1 where I got to grips with the current curriculum. With this I will be able to develop your child and get them ready for life at school.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified teacher (BA Education), I gained my QTS in 2012.
