I am an OFSTED registered Chldminder and received "OUTSTANDING" at my inspection November 2019. I have one son. I have worked with children for over thirty five years. My home is in a quiet turning with a green in the middle, I have a well-equipped garden. We go on trips out every morning to local parks, forest, farms, fruit picking and playgroups. My home is smoke free and is in walking distance to Woodford stations and easy access to the A406 and M11 etc.
In the past, I worked full time and used a childminder for my son. I am fully aware of the needs of working parents. I am trustworthy, reliable and committed to providing excellent childcare. With the experience I have gained over the years I am able to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where the children have opportunities for play and activities which build on their own interests and experiences.
My Experience
I started my career in childcare as a nursery assistant in a work place nursery as I always enjoyed being with children, then moved on to the BBC nurseries working my way up Nursery Nurse, Senior Nursery Nurse and Deputy Manager. After 10 years experience I become a manager of a Community Nursery. In that time I raised the standard of care and education and achieved an “outstanding" rating from Ofsted. While working full time.
During my time working with children I have gained considerable knowledge, experience, skills and abilities in a variety of settings and with different age groups, cultures and abilities. I follow Early Years Foundation Stage as set out by the government and regulated by OFSTED, including observing the children and planning activities to meet their needs. I have gained OUTSTANDING at my last two inspections

I am an Ofsted registered childminder.
CRB cleared
NVQ 3– Early Years Childcare and Education.
NVQ 4- Management.
Safeguarding children level 1 & 2
Food Safety level 2
Paediatric First Aid
British Sign Language Stage 1
Continuous training with Redbridge, childcare.co.uk and Pacey
I am a member of Morton Michel and insured with them.

My Availability
I am available for work hours of 7.30 am till 6.00 pm. Should my services be required on weekends or out of hours then this could be discussed on an individual bases. Please do ask as I am always willing to accommodate specific needs whenever possible.

Jill is an expert childminder with such wealth of experience that is clear to see. she has helped our daughter gain so many skills (like helping getting dressed and putting her shoes on etc). Jill creates well thought out activities and themes over a number of days. They go out on trips daily which is great for my daughter who loves the outdoors.
Her style of childminding is Montessori - and therefore has really built our daughter's confidence to do things for herself.
We were gutted to leave Jill, I can't recommend her enough.

Our younger daughter is now coming to the end of her time with Jill and starting school, having spent 3 years in her excellent care. Jill also looked after her big sister (see review from 2019). Again we have had a fantastic experience and our daughter has so enjoyed her time in Jill's home setting as well as many trips out and a variety of outdoor activities and playgroups. Jill is always coming up with creative ideas and ensures the children are well behaved as well as learning through play. Jill goes the extra mile to give outstanding care.
Even in covid times when settings were shut, Jill dropped off chalk and some toys for our girls to play with and drew them rainbows in the front garden 🌈
I highly recommend Jill and will miss seeing her each day.

Jill has looked after our boy for the past three years and it has been absolutely amazing. She takes excellent care of the children, she cares a lot about their development and is always open to discuss and listen to parents. The children do a lot of activities that they would not experience in the ordinary nursery setting. Jill organises trips to forest, parks, museums play groups. The children are well rounded and independent individuals. We have been very happy with Jill’s care and very fortunate to find her.
