My Summary
About Me

My name is Tracy, and I’m an Ofsted registered childminder offering a warm, family centred childcare setting where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn. I live with my husband, our 16year old daughter, 13 year old son and our gentle dog Pablo in a spacious four bedroom home with a lovely garden and outdoor play equipment. We’re tucked away in a quiet cul de sac, giving children a calm, homely and secure place to grow.
I offer funded places for eligible 9month, 2, and 3 year olds.
My aim is to create a nurturing, friendly and active environment where children learn through play and feel confident to explore the world around them. Each day includes a balance of structured, age appropriate activities and plenty of free play with a wide range of toys and resources. Early number and letter recognition is gently introduced, alongside important social skills such as sharing, good manners and respecting others.
Independence is encouraged from the very beginning. Whether it’s putting on shoes, learning to fasten a coat or helping tidy up, children are supported to take small steps that build confidence and prepare them for the next stage of their learning.
Because I care for a small number of children, every child receives individual attention, consistent support and a truly personalised experience. My recent Ofsted inspection highlighted the highly inclusive nature of my setting, noting that children with English as an additional language or additional needs are extremely well supported and make excellent progress.
I’m proud to share highlights from my latest Ofsted inspection
(January 2026), which reflects the high quality, nurturing childcare I provide for every child in my setting.
Why Families Choose This Setting
Exceptionally inclusive care
Children of all abilities including those with English as an additional language or developmental needs receive tailored support that helps them thrive. Ofsted praised the “extremely well supported” environment and the strong progress children make.
A language rich, engaging curriculum
From songs and stories to hands on experiences and real world outings, children build confidence in communication, early maths and social skills. Learning is fun, meaningful and based on each child’s interests.
Calm, positive behaviour support
Clear routines and gentle guidance help children feel secure and confident. They learn to share, take turns and manage their emotions, skills that prepare them beautifully for school.
Strong relationships and emotional wellbeing
Children settle quickly and form warm, trusting bonds. Parents consistently praise the nurturing atmosphere and the thoughtful, personalised care their children receive.
Rich experiences beyond the playroom
Regular trips to parks, cafés, playgroups and even a local care home give children opportunities to explore the world, build social confidence and develop empathy.
What Ofsted Noted
Children “thoroughly enjoy their time at the setting” and benefit from a curriculum that helps them build the skills they need for the next stage of their learning.
My Experience
I have two children of my own, and I’ve been a registered childminder for 16 years. Working with children has always been my passion, and I genuinely love watching them grow from tiny babies discovering the world to independent, confident young individuals ready for their next steps.
Over the years, I’ve supported many families and cared for children with a wide range of personalities, needs and abilities. Every child develops at their own pace, and it’s a privilege to be part of that journey, helping them learn new skills, build confidence and flourish in a warm, nurturing environment.

My little one has such a great time here and enjoys every moment sometimes not wanting to come home. She has learnt so much and does exciting activities and has some wonderful days out exploring. Tracy treats all the children in her care like members of her family and the bond she has with them all is plain to see, my daughter is a confident happy little girl and I am confident that is a lot to do with the secure loving environment that Tracy provides.

Russells Rascals is a great setting for Childminding, Tracey is a lovely lady who spends a lot of time ensuring the children and babies have lots of fun.
Tracey looked after our twins from 6 months - 11 months, we were very nervous and apprehensive about using a child minder and leaving the babies but we were made to feel at ease straight away and they loved going to her house, there were always lots of fun, interactive and stimulating toys for them to help with their development. Would recommend Tracy to anyone looking!
