Hi there,
My name is Jess and I am a Clifton-based full-time student studying politics and Portuguese at the University of Bristol. Some of my interests include art, reading, jazz music and watching sports. I am an animal lover as I've always had pets growing up. I love travelling and learning new languages and I can speak Spanish and Portuguese. Previously, I worked as a SEN teaching assistant for over four years and thoroughly enjoyed it as I love working with children.
Drawing from a gentle, positive, and child-led approach, my aim is to make sure that their needs are being met whilst fostering their journey towards becoming joyful and thriving individuals.

My Experience
I have worked a variety of different childcare jobs, including personal tutoring, mentoring, and nannying. Before I moved to Bristol, I worked as a teaching assistant for children with special educational needs in a secondary school in Bath. This experience helped me deepen my insights into children's varying needs and allowed me to tailor support on an individual basis.
I have worked with children with varying additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Developmental Language Disorder.
In my last childcare job, I worked as an after-school nanny for a family with two boys aged 6 and 8 years old. My role duties included school pick-ups, taking the boys to swimming lessons and football practice, cooking dinner and playing with them (building lego and playing football in the garden were their favourites!).
My Qualifications
Teaching assistant trained (across all subjects), with over four years of experience.
Trained in assisting children with special needs.
Safeguarding training.
DBS check available upon request.
