Hello! I'm Kayla, a 25 year old living in Rye Harbour with my Partner, my 8 year old stepson and our 1 year old baby girl.
I love going on adventures.. walks in the countryside, through the woods or down to the beach.
As a child at heart, you will always find me joining in with the fun.. Whether it be, getting stuck into messy play, baking yummy playdough cookies (or real ones?!), rolling down a hill or waiting for my turn on the slide.
I love nothing more than getting involved and entering the child's world.
I respect children as leaders of their own learning, whilst being able to use my abundance of knowledge to provide them with the highest quality learning experiences, and the best start in life.
My Experience
With 9 years of childcare experience and studying, gaining Early Years Teaching Status in 2021, it is safe to say that I have always been passionate about caring for children in their earliest of years.
Being a part of raising my 8 year old stepson and the recent arrival of my baby girl, has only strengthened my experience of providing the best for our little humans.
The past 10 years of studying has giving me an abundance of experience of working with various children aged 3 months to 5 years.
I have worked in a few nurseries, including one with an Ofsted 'Oustanding' Grading, as well as training nine months to become a Primary School Teacher before quickly realising that 'Early Years' is where I belong.
In terms of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, I have experience of working with children who have:
Autism
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
Downs Syndrome
Global Developmental Delay
Cerebral Palsy
I value every child, and thrive on building a genuine, loving relationship with both them and their family. I love supporting children to flourish and reach their fullest potential.
My Qualifications
Level 3 in Early Years Education and Care (A*)
Higher National Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Distinction)
BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Education (2:1)
Early Years Teachers Status
As part of my work, I have completed numerous training courses including Makaton Signing Level 2 and am Paediatric First Aid Trained - Level 3.
My Availability
I am available for evening babysitting, weekdays and weekends.
Help during the school holidays.

- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
£14 per hour during the day up until 6pm, £12 per hour 6pm - onwards.
