Hi, my name is Sophia John but you can call me Sophie. I have always loved children and have spent a lot of time looking after and caring for them. I understand the time and energy it takes to care for a child and that is why I am willing to put myself forward and to offer help for any parent in need of it. I am very warm, friendly and patient when it comes to children and knowing that I have made someone happy at the end of the day brings me the most joy.
Nannying, for me, is not just a job, I find it very rewarding and have been lucky to work with some lovely children & their families.
When looking after children, I like to do everything from taking them to the park & playing to reading & baking.
I have a good combination of patience and imagination, two things I find are always required when caring for children of any age.
I’m dedicated to advancing and safeguarding the welfare of children at all times. I am passionate about taking care of little children and committed to a child's overall wellbeing. Currently searching for work with a fantastic family to help make their children feel comfortable and to assist where required.
I am available for school drop offs and pickups. I'm good at hair styling as I am a professional hairdresser. I'm a great cook who understands the need of providing kids with a healthy diet and nutrition.
I’m good at academic tasks, including basic English & Mathematics which means I can help the children with their homework and assignments. I am willing to travel if informed at least 1 week ahead of travel date.
My Experience
I have experience taking care of newborns as well which makes me very flexible with both toddlers & teenagers. I am experienced in SEN and special needs kids.
In 2021-2022 I was a part-time virtual tutor for children in Maths, English and Science to prepare them for their high school entrance examination.
I have taken care of my younger siblings and cousins over the years so I am familiar with all the stages of childhood and development. I stayed with a family member during my high school holidays and I worked for them by cleaning, styling the kids hair before school, dropping & picking the children from school, Making their meals and making them comfortable and safe in their home. I'm great with 0-17 year olds.
My Qualifications
I have 9 GCSE qualifications with Mathematics- A and English - B.
I have lots of experience with children of all ages.
First Aid Awareness, Food Hygiene and Managing Challenging Behaviours.
My Availability
I’m available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I’m also available on request on weekends.
