Therapeutic Play Worker
January 2018 – July 2018

Duties and Responsibilities:

Aftercare providers for a primary school, enhancing and developing children’s education through the medium of play

SEN experience (direct 1:1 support, group work, planning for inclusion)

Running sessions for the whole setting

Child-centred planning (choosing topics and activities for themselves), incorporating British Values.

KS1 Aftercare provider, specifically 1:1 with a child with Cerebral Palsy. KS1 and 2 SEND 1:1 and cover, both in classroom and with children educated outside the classroom (1:1)

SEN experience (direct 1:1 support, planning, play therapy, range of needs, behavioural and anger management)

Helped children become more independent, able to access all areas of the curriculum/aftercare

Managing the setting when others were absent, liaising with parents and carers.
