My Experience

I have been advertising babysitting/childcare for a few years now since I left college. I have helped a couple local families and babysat their children as and when needed.

I have a lot of different experience within childcare. I have worked in nurseries, first schools, creches and also worked with children with SEN needs. I have worked with all different age ranges from babies to 5+. The youngest babies I have worked with were 11 weeks old and the oldest children I have worked with were 8.

I did a month of volunteering in Tabanan, Bali. I volunteered at the local nurseries/school that were less advantaged and had very little resources. At the end of my time volunteering I went to the shops and bought lots of resources and toys for the children. Such as paper, colouring pencils/pens, jungle animals, farm animals, cars, dolls etc. They were so grateful and happy! This was such an amazing eye opening experience!

April 2024 - October 2024:
I did a season with TUI at Holiday Village Rhodes. I worked in the creche with babies from 0-3 years old. During TUI training I completed my pediatric first aid course. Our role in the creche was to provide a safe stimulating environment for our smallest guests. This was a space for the children to come to have a break from the very hot weather outside and have some time to stimulate the brain and continue having fun and learning. It was our job to continue with the parents routines as they wished. For example a parent wants their child to nap at their regular time we have to follow this through. We would need to complete all the correct paperwork and also safely and correctly sign children in and out of our care.

Currently I am working as a support worker for 2 brothers who have autism. Their level of autism is very different to one another. One of them is non verbal and doesn't understand danger. I help Mum mainly on weekends or during school holidays to go on days out with the boys. We usually all go out together on family days so there is a set of eyes on both of the boys and they both get the attention they need. Some days I go 1-1 with the boys so mum can spend that one on one time together and also so I can do something fun with each of them and give them both the time. I am loving this job and building a relationship with each of them, it is a very rewarding job to help a family enjoy their days out together and to just have that support.

NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Childcare and Education
Paedatric first aid

My Availability

I would like to keep my support worker role which is only 8 hours term time and 16 hours school holidays. I am looking for a part/full time nanny or babysitting roles.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (net)
