Not what I had in mind

Reviewed

I'm going to very fair with this review. I had booked Karen and everything was very last second tbf, but she agreed she could do it. Then to find out she doesn't drive even though her profile says driver's license. My partner had to pick her up. So trying to get kids to bed and ready, we then had to wait about to pick her up when she was ready. I agreed to pay the Uber home to her house, I would of liked to stay out later just got the feeling she just wanted money and get home but when I got home just after 12am I had already booked the Uber to her house thinking the Uber we got out of could take her home. She then asked to go to Oldham I felt uncomfortable as my kids were upstairs sleeping, I don't know this girl from Adam, I am a nice person but I won't be taken for granted, I switched the address back to her house when in the taxi, I agreed her house, not Oldham. Something tells she doesn't live in Rochdale. For what we were paying and to have to be home to try be fair on her, £15 quid an hour for babysitting is ridiculous specially after getting a lift and an Uber home. Babysitting isn't to make the parents run after more people, it's to ease the stress...and the fact it says on profile she drives, it is not a true. I never used a baby sitter until I moved over to England. Stuff like this is why I don't trust bringing people into my house.

I did say i was out with my children at my nana's who lives near Elk Mill. I was riding my bike which i can't just stop and look at my phone. This is why i said I'll get back to you asap.
It was very last minute but i want to help as many people as i can. I did mention i wouldn't be able to get there in time and probably would be better getting someone else but you agreed for your partner to collect me as this was needed as you wanted to go out. I said i would just need to find out if i could get home at that time of night. You then said we will get home no matter what. I'll get you an uber which was really nice of you as it wasn't your thing to do.
I didn't want to agree as that's my part of the job not yours but it seemed like you needed to go so I said yes that's fine.
I asked you to book the uber to Oldham and i would pay the difference. This is because i had forgotten my house key and the only way of me getting in was to stay at my brother's as i wasn't going to start banging the door down at my house then to wake up my children as i did mention my soon is going though assessments. Me waking him up would of meant him being awake all night.
I forgot my key due to rushing, getting home with my kids then getting ready to go back out.
I do live in Rochdale and can prove that 100%
If you wasn't happy about paying £15 an hour then i would of wished you had asked me before I got there then to leave me a review like that.
I will look at my profile now to make sure it doesn't say I drive. My driving licence is on there for photo ID only.
I did also say if you wanted to stay out longer that's totally fine just let me know either way so i am updated..
it seems like you just wanted a babysitter for very cheap but also last minute which is hard to get on bank holiday weekend on the coronation day. you said my profile states i drive but it also states i charge £15 per hour, which i don't believe is to bad as i have a lot of experience with mental health, including ADHD, Autism etc. which you also needed somebody with.
If you wasn't happy to pay that then maybe you should of asked another sitter as like i said you knew this before i got there as it says it on my profile.
I also messaged you though the night to let you know your children was okay etc so you didn't have to worry as i know it's hard to let someone you don't know look after your children.
If you ever need a sitter again, then you should get all the information you need sorted 1st before getting a sitter and blaming everything on them.
Good luck.
